The only problem I have with that set of headliners would be that it runs very close to the same problem '15 had, in that the headliners are very different from the line up underneath it and as a result you split the crowd; those there for the headliners and those for the undercard which pleases neither group.

If Killswitch are the token heavy band then I can't see it working very well, compared to NW and Sabaton they're heavier, but that's still not very heavy by BOA standards (especially when you consider they've been booking more thrash and death metal acts).

Sorry to say that I probably wouldn't bother going to Haldamir's festival even with a free ticket

Anyone in the Bloodstock Metal Forum 666 group on Facebook? Squatter has posted that there will be a band for 2018 announced at this year's festival! Sounds promising :)

When did you see them? The 3 times I've seen them they've been great. The singer had the crowd in the palm of his hand the whole time.

Download 2014.

I wasn't there so I can't comment but I guess it must of been an off day or something, I remember at DL '13 they blew everyone away (to the point of even matching crowd excitement for when Europe who followed them and played that song).

Saw a bit of them at Wacken and they were the biggest pile of shite I've ever witnessed at a festival. More a Pop Rock/Rockabilly pub band. I've seen plenty of those that were vastly better.

I wouldn't get your hopes up considering the last band that was announced at the festival was Venom....

Hopefully it'll be Venom Inc. then!

Early announcement tend to be for either special guests (or, in Venom' s case, 3rd top). I suspect that we'll get someone that Wacken announces in the first batch of 2018.

Part of me says Judas Priest and part of me says Body Count since they've been trying to nab them too  Although not sure Body Count would warrant a festival announcement...

Christ. If they announced Body Count at the festival then I reckon there would be a riot.
