No. As a result, I saw none of those bands.

Not looking good, if they're not out by 4 I'll have to just print without them and miss everything again, eurgh. Did want to see Darth Elvis too.

Gandalf's right. The first 5 mins are a bit 'ooh fire tricks' but it gets tedious very quick. Especially considering this has got to be their 20th anniversary performing on the SOPHIE stage.

The first 5 minutes ain't interesting either - it's just bog standard fire breathing and waving around torches, anyone can learn how to do that shit in 10 seconds.

Why oh why is there no choice when the headliners are on? OK, it might bump up the crowd a bit for the headliners but surely the point of festivals is offering people choices! Plus it means the Sophie headliners risk being absolutely stupidly rammed with everyone leaving the RJD stage at once....

I like them having the headliners at different times so you can see both, but there should be something on in the Sophie tent besides "background music". Personally I'd prefer to see the comedy in there during the mainstage headliner and an extra band added to the New Blood each day. Or, even better, ditching the comedy totally and giving the Sophie an extra band too.

They had guest DJs on at the same time as the headliner, I'm guessing it wasn't very popular as they're not doing it again.

I seem to remember it was pretty busy for Delain in 2015, but aside from that I don't think it has ever being close to full in there.

I think a lot of people coming past from the mainstage stop on that open edge of the tent, which gives the impression of people spilling out, but there's always room inside.

Couldn't get in for Fleshgod Apocalypse but again that could be it's just full at the entrance rather than throughout the tent.

I bet Delain only got put on the Sophie stage because their best known song is about Sophie Lancaster.

They specifically asked to go on the Sophie stage.

Great so I'll be able to get in the tent to see macabre after ghost.

Fair enough, and I assume that's because they have a song about Sophie Lancaster then.

If I recall correctly, last year was the first year which had no overlap between stage headliners. I remember the tent being quite rammed for Acid Reign and Goatwhore even before the deluge of punters from the RJD arrive so I would recommend a sprightly walk to the Sophie after the mainstage headliner finishes.

I really want a good spot for Inquisition so I am tempted to give the Amon Amarth encore a miss. Heard those songs so many times anyway.
