I don't want more than 3 or 4 bands of any genre on main stage to be honest.

All the bands should be of only one genre. Heavy Metal.

I fully expect a bunch of backwards caps, shouty baldies and generic riffs!

That comment can be read very diffferently than what was meant.

Prepare to be disappointed with all the 'core!

Oh I usually am. I quite like some Hardcore. But I would prefer it to be elsewhere.

I am ashamed to be agreeing almost 100% agreeing with this, but in the last few months ai have began to really enjoy power metal so please don't neglect that. But more Black and adoom and especially those three thrash bands would be nice!

I was joking  As much as I love thrash I'd prefer a more varied line up, 3-4 of a genre on mainstage sounds about right to me, unless the headliner is from that genre so they should cut down a bit; so for example 1 doom headliner then 2 other mainstage doom bands since the headliner gets a longer set.

Ah my bad, hard to gauge on here, worse when some folks say that kinda thing with a straight face here once in a while.

That's a valid point regarding the headliners though. A doom headliner would be a novelty though. Can't think of very many who would even be in with a shout of doing so.

With the sad demise of Heaven And Hell, I don't think there is a doom band that could headline the mainstage. The only real possibility is the doom/death My Dying Bride and even then I'm not so sure they'd be any more than a Special Guest these days.

MDB could probably headline the Sophie stage.

Or Black Sabbath if they sack the gibbering idiot and get a proper singer again.....

I would put them on par with Paradise Losts time in 2012

I would suggest MDB are a bit bigger than bands like Satan or Sister Sin are. Upper half of mainstage i would suggest.

Perhaps, MDB have more rarity value though...
