I'm not pre-emptivley complaining, more setting out my expectations. At this late in the game I'm already sold on the line up and of course I'd like to have more bands I like but I can't see any bands getting booked that are going to wow me.

Considering we know probably at least 3/4 of the last announcements, if not much higher, getting your hopes up isn't advised.

Call me crazy and hopeful for something good but I was checking out some gig listings and Queensryche are playing a Uk tour which ends on 7th August... so could they maybe be playing on the Main stage Saturday higher up the bill? That would bowl me over but I guess I'm just dreaming

Yeah pretty much, if for no other reason than there's no reason to keep it quiet until about 3 weeks before. If you are looking at someone big it'll be someone playing another festival (Download, Techfest, Ramblin' Man) who won't be announced until after, or have recently toured. Both are incredibly unlikely anyway, as you'd want at least some time for the band to sell tickets if they are gonna be a big one.

Edit: Not to mention thanks to Xerath we know its only the opener left to announce.

The problem is so many bands that could potentially play are either touring or doing a couple of dates around the time of BOA.

It makes us hopeful of a real wildcard final announcement and probably being unrealistic in our expectations, sadly.
