I don't think we need more bands on the new blood as such. However, pushing the start and end times of each band to be an hour later would let the stage start at 1130, so that nobody has to take the over-ly early 1030 when nobody is in the arena. It also means the last band finish at 2100, so you don't have the sttge dead for an hour befor ethe headliners.

While we're at it, can we add a band or two to the Jager stage each day? Seems a shame to start it so late and/or finish it so soon!

I always figured a half ten start was good for the new blood bands because they clashed with noone. Its always been packed when I have been to the half ten bands.

I agree. I've normally been up for a couple of hours at least before it starts. Earlier the better for me. It's not like there's anything else to do.

Goat Leaf had 5 or 6 times the number of people watching them at 1030 than the two or three bands that followed. I don't think 1030 is too early tbh.

If we're watching the headliners & leaving site at 1100, that only leaves us 11.5 hours to get to teh hotel, eat, get 9 hours sleep, shower, eat and get back to site.

I keep missing the 1030 bands as a result. Hell that even happens when we skip the headliners!

Although I did support Reprisal at M2TM this year because I actually listen to them, I think this is pretty much otherwise true. I played a heat of M2TM and only 1 or 2 of the people who came along actually went to Bloodstock.

yes this, start to give more overlap and you can get an extra band in somewhere

Reprisal were one of the few that I actually liked this year.

Would be nice if they could just record the gigs professionally and give the forummembers a vote. But then the facebook losers would have a moan, but then I suppose it could also encourage more people to sign up to the forums.

Nah, because then the family members of the band would just sign up and vote for the band.

This
IMO, Metal 2 The Masses should be determined on the band's creativity, talent and quality of performance; not how many people a band can bring through the doors.

It doesn't matter if you vote in the M2TM really Simon Hall gets final say. And in the semi finals (at least here) it's mostly determined by judges with the votes only contributing to an overall percentage that is mostly made up of their opinions.

I should add they do have stuff they look for so it's not just taste based although that also has a small part of their decision.
