Oh god, Avenged Sevenfold would be dreadful.

Actually since they're doing a new album there's also a good chance Machine Head might return in the next few years.

Machine Head? Least they'd cure my insomnia for the night.

There's a chance Machine Head could headline again sometime...but i'd suggest it's not very high and bordering 0 for next year.

For me the ideal line-up would be:

Headliners: --------Nightwish-----Mastodon-----Danzig
Special Guests:---Blind Guardian--Kreator------Motorhead

I doubt Trivium or Killswitich will play, they're far too core-ish. There are far better options for mainstream headliners out there.

What about Danzig? They're currently playing Knotfest above Anthrax and BLS, so could they headline? That'd be fucking great.

They won't be back after their last performance, and if they did it would be a headline slot anyway.

They're great but I think Bloodstock is getting too big for them to be headliners anymore. It depends who else is playing on the day. Saxon being third on the bill this year was criminal but they just happened to be on the day with the biggest bands.

I've mentioned Dazing, more than once on here before (as have others) but they don't seem to take off as much as other pitches for headliners on this forum.

I think old glass jaw would be ideal though.

I can't realistically predict it but i'd certainly appreciate it being Mastodon - Cannibal Corpse/Venom/At the Gates - Judas Priest.

Seconded, although Mastodon were terrible last time I saw them - around 2009 in Birmingham. Would be good to see that that was a one off/they've improved.

Really fucking hope not. I don't actually mind Machine Head, but I hear them so often amongst my group of friends that every time I hear Robb Flynn's voice now I want to shoot myself in the face.

No way Danzig are bigger than them. Motorhead would still headline I think, but almost no chance after last time.
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!

Given that they're planning on hitting Europe next year,

could/would Motley Crue be on the cards?

If Danzig headlined, I doubt it'd be the Sunday - barely anyone would know any songs by them :-/

I have no idea who Danzig are....

I'm surprised but, I guess they really haven't had that much press attention since the early 00´.

Actually the last magazine front cover I remember them been on was Terrorizer in 2002/03ish.

Guess I'm showing my age :(
