I'm the same. I usually toddle over to the New Blood Stage once the arena opens to see what's happening.

I'll be up anyway so I'd probably watch anyone on early on one of the stages. The bigger question is who would get me into the arena on Thursday, which I couldn't even be arsed to do for Jaldaboath this year.

Diablo Swing Orchestra would make great mainstage openers. So would Gloryhammer. I fully expect Bull Riff Stampede will take one of the slots.

Almost certainly won't be to everyones tastes on record anyways but I wouldn't be that surprised to see Skindred opening the stage.

I really would. Far too big to be opening. Wouldn't shock me to see them get an hour.

Reminds me of a DJ friend being complained at by Skindred "fans" for playing Dub War, on the grounds that they where simply ripping Skindred off...

Skindred are an ace live act - really tight. Not sure they'd fit the festival well though.

And yeah, they are way too big to open one of the stages. I'd guess they'd be a 3rd top act if they were indeed booked.

Even though i'm not a big fan of the genre i'd say a power metal band is ideal. Something energetic and singable to ease into the day/get over the hangover, swap Wolf around with Agalloch on Sunday for example.

Though saying that i'm well up for Nuclear Assault :D
