I'd definitely end up going, there's more than enough that I really want to see to get me in, although Friday is clash city until Watain come on. I think you've made the second stage a bit too big as well - Between the Buried and Me, Threshold, Electric Wizard, Sikth and 36 Crazyfists are probably all big enough to headline it. I'd say Bloodbath and Dragonforce are the wrong way round as well.

Thoughts?

Would you attend? :P

Absolutely. This is what the festival should be aiming for. A mix of styles with some stuff I like and some I don't, but with enough to keep me happy on each day.

Looks good I'd definitely go, would prefer more Death and Thrash though!

Some of the bands on the Sophie Stage are far too big (Death Angel, Destruction) but I'd go to this for sure.

Also, KT's ideal lineup sucks some massive heaving donkey twanger. That's all I've got to say about that.

I've been thinking ahead to future BoAs, and the possible headliners they could have. Do we think it is ridiculous to consider Slash + Miles as a possible Sunday headliner?

As big as Slash's name is, he/they rarely top festival bills. Case in point, this year's DL they were only 3rd top on the main stage. To give some perspective, at DL '14 Rob Zombie subbed the mainstage, with Within Temptation a spot before them.

Wouldn't be shocked if next year's headliners were something like Nightwish, Five Finger Donkey Punch and Judas Priest. Aside from one of them that doesn't sound too bad.

Slash I think isn't quite metal enough, I know they've had Alice, Twisted Sister and Europe, but I think all of those have a bit more metal than him. Plus, I know Steelhouse have been after him for a while, and there are plenty of other rock-oriented festivals he could headline if he was fed up of getting smaller Download slots.

I wouldn't bet on it. When Within Temptation fall flat on their faces this year, as I think they inevitably will due to the rest of the Saturday lineup, it'll be all too easy for them to turn around and claim that sort of metal isn't what the Bloodstock audience wants.

It will be interesting, but WT and NW are so much bigger than the rest of the female fronted metal bands (Delain and Epica are probably on the next rung down, but are both much smaller) that it can't be just be 'genre fans' that are buying their tickets, but fans of metal in general, that will buy a 'bit of this, bit of that'. I think they will go down fine.
