Very much enjoyed Anaal Nathrakh a couple years ago and Winterfylleth this year...probably others but they're not springing to mind right now.

Years all blur into one, so I won't pick particular years. From memory:

Bossk. Great to see them back and so well received by the massive crowd.

Power Quest. First (and last) time I'd seen them. Brilliant performance, great atmosphere, great send off to what became one of my favourite brands of brie.

Flayed Disciple. Standout death metal set of the year on that stage.

Lawnmower Deth. Warrants no explanation.

Xentrix. Turned out as good as expected, which was really rather good indeed.

Last In Line. I must plead ignorance to who they were before watching, and only saw them through folling Someone Else of this parish. I'm glad I did!

Rotting Christ. Finally got to see them. Every bit as good as I wanted them to be.

Satan. One of the best headline sets of Bloodstock, accepted with great dry, sarcastic humour and a standout discovery for me.
If it sounds good, listen to it

I suppose threads like this indicate how vastly different two people can view a performance  Rotting Christ in 2014 was once of the most abysmal things I've ever seen on stage, and I'm quite an RC fan! Same goes for Savage Messiah, who are easily one of the worst thrash bands of all time with absolutely no stage presence or charisma.

I rarely bother with the Sophie Stage, but I thoroughly enjoyed OCR in 2014.

I wasn't very impressed with Rotting Christ either.

I also notice that someone mentioned Skyclad. I thought they were awful and they were my favourite band at one point.

Glad it wasn't just me. I thought it was a very weak performance. Very disappointing.

I did enjoy Rotting Christ, though.

Rotting Christ were terrible compared to when I saw them the year or so before. Skyclad however were great.

It probably depends on whether you had seen them with Martin Walkyier and Fritha Jenkins. That abomination at Bloodstock was a shadow of a great band. :(

You're not the only person to say that. Most the people that said they enjoyed them had never seen them with Martin (like myself) and likewise, most people that didn't enjoy them had seen them back in the 90's.
