I like every post in this thread, I feel the same
Sophie headliner might swing it for a day ticket, sorry voting with my feet otherwise
Brownload lite really annoyed with way the festival apperas to be heading, no problems at all with Allagoch or Sabaton

Trivium would'nt have been so bad if they hadn't got RZ, two bands that just don't fit.

Still looking forward to seeing Nuclear Assault, Death, Within Temptation, Dark Angel, Cannibal Corpse and some of the others, but the Sophie Tent really needs to be strong this year, because two of the special guests and two of the headliners are poor enough for me to be finished with the days metal by about eight otherwise, mental.

Within Temptation are a mainstream band as well and the least Metal out of the 3 :?

Why am I seeing the itunes playlist of an angsty 15 year old in place of Bloodstock's headliners? Somebody PM the moderators before some mistakes this for the actual headli... Oh.

Trivium are a prostate examination. We all knew it was going to happen eventually, so let's get it over and done with.

Good to see Sabbaton back on the bill, they were solid the year before last - yes, they are a repeat, but I'd gladly take a repeat over no Power Metal at all.

If Primordial were forced to inject massive doses of ketamine, while forced to listen to looped goth-era albums by The Cure, and were then handed coldplay's recording setup, they would probably sound a bit like Aggaloch. I will endeavor to try and like Aggaloch before August comes... but I suspect it's going to be a tough one.

I bet they put the official announcement up on Monday with a couple of additions like Electric Wizard headlining the Sophie Stage on Friday! Ya know to soften the blow a bit.

It's a funny one. I actually quite like Trivium. Certainly Ember to Inferno and The Crusade. But I can't help but feel that it's either a misplaced booking or further conformation that the festival is moving away from the festival most of know.

^ Of course it's moved form the fest we all know, the only metal headliner out of the 3 is a trendy Kerrang band, and they're in the cult status slot. :hurl:

That comment can be read very diffferently than what was meant.

Soften the Blow? More like rub salt into the wounds. Electric Wizard are worse than Trivial.

Now to watch the way a festival promote their festival without highlighting one of their headliners "look we've got Sabaton, Cannibal Corpse, Within Temptation, Trivium Enisferum!" They can't even point to Emperor like last year and repeat "we've got a classic black metal band headlining" They've got to push a set of headliners who seem unrepresentative of the type of bands on the undercard and so will lose their appeal with casual heavier fans who feel the undercard isn't worth the money and mainstream fans who won't go to a festival just for 3 headliners.

Still, they seem to be striking a balance to keep me happy  I somehow fall into the minority who likes a large mix of heavier and more commercial metal. it's like the reverse of Soni with a few token commerical bands around a heavier undercard.

you could be cynical and suggest that posting it at 1am on a sunday was an attempt to underplay the announcement
