I don't remember them being too late in the day. I remember them being dull as arseholes though.

I'll be very upset if its not Helloween or Blind Guardian
sunday is fairly heavy so far would be nice to break it up with some power metal
I pray its not Arch Enemy. I really do

I'll be very disappointed indeed if it's either of those two. Not just because Helloween are terrible live and Bland Guardian are just terrible in every respect but because it would leave me with 3 headliners I haven't the slightest bit of interest in, 2 special guests I haven't the slightest bit of interest in and one that I haven't enjoyed an album by for more than a decade! I don't particularly care which sub-genre of metal the final special guest comes from as long as it's someone I like as it would be nice to have one band to look forward to on the mainstage in the later evening/night.

Edguy ? (not that they really do it for me so on current form expect them)

Exodus? (since Souza came back they may be perhaps expected to jump a few slots and BS know we love repeats ;) )

Personally if Venom were approached Chronos should snap Bloodstocks hand off as there is not a better place for them to be revered so to speak. Say they did a UK tour of the new album they wouldnt fill Rock City or Manchester Apollo, most people would say no Mantas/No Abbadon its not Venom and `they only did two good albums`etc, yet if they played BOA they couldnt play a note wrong and be treated as conquering heroes-just a thought

When Edguy played in 2010 they were 6th top - I doubt they've grown big enough to warrant a sub headliner spot (as much as I'd enjoy it).

Exodus played 4th top in both 2011 and 2013 - no way are they moving up the bill, especially as Cannibal Corpse are likely 3rd top.

EDIT:

.... is Devin doing anything next August?

Interesting.

Never been able to get into CoF personally, don't mind them just never really clicked with me.

Caught them live at a festival ages ago and they sounded awful.

Wouldn't be keen on Edguy either though.

Arch Enemy I think likely and I do like them but progressively less with each album it seems sadly.

I reckon it will be Arch Enemy, hope its not though. Satyricon maybe? Could see Devin being a possibility. Don't think they'll want Power Metal that high up these days, even if they should be looking at something like Hellowen or Blind Gaurdian. Immortal or Kreator would be best for me, assuming no Ministry

Haha oh yeah silly me, well its very unlikely they'll have 2 PM special guests! That would please too many BOA regulars and not the Download people!

Wouldn't be too happy myself... Because none of the power metal bands that I actually like are anywhere near big enough to be that high up the bill (or are still together...) and, as I've said previously, it would be nice to have one mainstage band to look forward to in the late evening/nighttime...

Nah me neither, I'm not much of a Power Metal fan, Ive just been quite spoilt so far so for balance I'm fine with more PM, keep those into it happy, and theres plenty of space for some smaller bands

Oh I'm fine with more power metal being added, I'd just prefer it to be one of the bands I like such as Paragon or Turbo. Never gonna happen though...
