I`m taking it its not Cannibal Corpse

Ok by powers of Elimination and `hope for`

Ministry-No (cant see two industrial based artists playing after each other)

W.A.S.P-Doubt it (Headlined last time they played)

Bolt Thrower-Sadly no

Immortal-Possible but again headlined last time

Kreator or Arch Enemy or At the gates-all possibilities

Blind Guardian-i`d have thought Friday wouldve been a better night but still possible

Accept-played two years ago but no UK dates on European tour so possible

Mastodon or Ghost-possible but there popularity amongst mainstream may further the backlash

Venom-have album out shortly, it would confirm my attendance anyway

any other ideas?

Bloodbath? Heard them mentioned a lot, although I'd have put them much lower.

Behemoth maybe. There were rumours they were headlining, maybe they'd be pushed down to special guests since Nergal hasn't had cancer this time.

My money is on one of Kreator or Arch Enemy though. Or one of the many shitty death metal bands.

Still not convinced Bloodbath would be big enough.

I like the idea of Venom as SG, but is that a big enough slot for such a huge band? I know they aren't quite wat they once were, but lets not forget.... people regard them as the founders of Black Metal, which is arguably one of the biggest subs. (I disagree with this claim on musical terms)

And the case you put forward about Accept is kind of redundant as I don't think recent repeats are an issue these day

Arch Enemy I'm assuming, be very surprised if they aren't on the line up at all and can't see them playing below special guests.

Played London last Thursday mate :P

I'd be very surprised if Mastodon sub, I would of thought they'd be a solid headliner :? They almost equal RB in terms of size of venues they play (and they play more regularly than him) and are bigger than the other special guests Sabaton and Opeth.

Ghost are a good call though, good way to bridge from Cannibal Corpse to RB (well to be fair who else could bridge that well) and might attract enough of each others audiences to make it work. Although I don't think they are at sub-level yet to be honest, probably more 3 or 4th band I would say.

Cradle of Filth possibly? (Not that I'm that bothered either way, but I know they are at Summer Breeze).

How big are In Flames these days?

Stop asking for bands you want, and expect bands you don't want. That's how Bloodstock do.

Not sure about Cradle Of Filth, but I would assume with Arch Enemy's recent fan revival that Download will snag them. I personally would go for either Cradle Of Filth, Behemoth or Blind Guardian as decent shouts.

I can't imagine Cradle will return after last time. Maybe I'm wrong though

Dan has no issue with coming back and even said so at the time. Whilst an unfortunate incident, one person does not represent a festival crowd and naturally they wouldn't expect a repeat of the incident.

Also remember now we are getting in a different type of fan, if Machine Head, Lamb Of God and Hatebreed can play full sets without that kind of shite, I'm sure Cradle can now.

Oh, I wasn't aware he said so. In which case, CoF would be good. Although having said that, anything after Midian that isn't Godspeed on the Devils Thunder is shit and I hope they don't touch it :P

I'd replace Devils Thunder with Thornography but generally I agree with that. Could easily make a compilation CD with a best of their latter stuff and enjoy it. But it's been a long while since a solid album came out. That said, I saw them on the tour with Rotting Christ and they mainly stuck to their older stuff (even with a airing of 'Summer Dying Fast' which was nice).

*Actually in just looking, they are opening up currently with 3 Principle tracks!
