Yeah, a 6man for 2 people is pushing it a bit. I mean I know 1man tents are pitiful so getting a 2man for yourself, or a 3/4 man for the pair of you is fair enough, but a 6man for two people is a *bit* on the selfish side in terms of forcing other people into shitty spots or possibly not being able to camp with their friends due to people doing that.

when i said 6 manner that's nowhere near big enough for 6 adults, not even 4. it basically gives you 2 sleeping pods so 1 person in each with room for all your gear.

Does a 6 man not usually have a pretty hefty sized porch for all your gear (minus valuables etc ofc)?

By that I meant if all your gear is in the porch then the sleeping pods must have room for more than one person, although it seems you've been outdone by another poster who's even more ridiculous with their tent.

i0th, if there's only 2 of you, you don't really need any large space to put 2 chairs. I struggle to believe your 8 man is smaller than 2 two man tents plus a couple of chairs...

another good aspect of the larger tents with porches, is that it eliminates (mostly) the need for a gazebo, which take up a lot of space. Although i do miss taking ours.
Got to agree with i0th re. space, a larger tent for 2/3 takes up a lot less space than 2/3 individual tents being used, even if the larger tent is for 6/8.

Meh it's not like there's a shortage of space bring whatever tent you want.

I know previously they've said about limited space in VIP but pretty sure in general campsite it doesn't matter too much.

4 man tent for 2 people should be sufficient

Think you're right. I used to have one of the larger tents when I took a 3 man one with a reasonable sized, though far from huge, porch but these days it's pretty much dwarfed by people who take along some kind of portable fucking Ewok habitat for the weekend!

Have you noticed whenever the police find a body it’s always in a tent. :eyes:

That's more an American thing. Chalk doesn't work well in the rain.
