Yep, you got us. It's the copious amounts of LSD we put in every dish.

My wi-fi signal jammer working well all weekend.
My giant magnet that I used to drain the portable phone chargers whenever possible. Seriously, if you can't do without more than texting for a couple of days at a festival you have a problem, or are a teenager, but either way you need a slap. So slap yourself sharpish.
Do you have a spare jammer ? texting fuckwits kept walking into me, I swear next time I will chuck their precious dildo into one of the chemical toilets. One guy texting in front of me near the front of the main stage never looked up once; I felt like yelling "Get a life Bitch" but he was (much) bigger than me....

GOOD LORD! According to spectralizer, Kate's magic ingredient was... good food! Ordinary good food. Laced with nothing more than a few spoons full of LSD.

But seriously man it's so fucking tasty, considering fest food is usually like "Oh god the regrets I have over these dodgy burger" it's amazing to plop down somewhere and munch on a really fresh panini.

I have to say though, the food overall was pretty good all round. I was tempted by those Gallop's Farm places, but I did wonder if they were "gourmet" places in disguise. But everywhere I ate was lovely, no regrets. Although I did leave the burrito place until the sunday night.

I had to choose between spending money on booze, or spending it on food this year..I chose booze, and took a load of pot noodles and 'light lunch' things, both of which were predictably vile..but I suppose they constitute sustenance. But the food I saw people eating looked pretty good, and the bits I did try confirmed it. I have to say I think festival food in general is definitely getting better.
Download was just chocka full of gorgeous looking food, and I don't think we had a bad meal all weekend. I could've just eaten all day!!

Why people still go to the bog standard burger vans is beyond me! Live a little!

Yes, those Gallops Farm vans are Gourment slop vans with a new paint job. AVOID.

I had a feeling! Glad I avoided it now.

The good - Several bands that absolutely gave it 100% Reign of Fury, Metaprism, Silas, Delain, Anihilated, Battalion, Triaxis, Orange Goblin, Lawnmower Death, Zocalo and Onslaught. Most of the others I saw were pretty damed good too. Beer was cheaper than last year. Good weather. Happy metallers. Superb security. Better VIP area, more seats and the DJ's were turned down so you could hear yourself think.

The bad - Problems with the sound every now and again, most notably with Within Temptation. But it's live music, these things happen. I fucking hate the funfair. I fucking hate smoking in the tents. Got burned by ciggies more than once. I know it's accidental and the people who did it were very apologetic, but the sets are not very long. Surely people can wait half an hour to spark up. I'm not particularly keen on getting squashed by crowd surfers either, but I will go down the front ...... :D

The ugly - I saw nothing I would consider ugly.

All in all a bloody brilliant weekend full of great music and surrounded by like minded people. Mate's bands all smashed it and the whole weekend had a massive feelgood factor. I will definitely go back next year.

Good

Toilets. Like the bloody Ritz compared to last year.
Simply hanging around in a field for four days with mates I don't see very often, drinking, talking, laughing and relaxing. The bands were an added bonus.
Pretty good food.
Car sharing so I didn't have to carry my gear from the car park.
Midgard wrestling was fun for 10 minutes

Bad
No list of ales in the bar so everyone repeatedly asking the staff what they had.
Two guys trying serve, tap kegs and take payment. Gave up waiting and bought Carling more than once.
Being twice the age of a woman I was chatting to.
Where the hell was all this naked flesh you're going on about? Apart from a mate slapping his cock out in front of us all on the campsite it was decidedly tame.
Doing my usual trick of being asleep by early Thursday evening due to rapid alcohol consumption in the afternoon and missing Desecration.
No Dark Angel shirts apart from in XXXL

Ugly
Wannabe marine/jock/fuckwit pissing everyone off during foul body autopsy. Twat of the highest order.
My mate's cock

Haha! Actually it wasn't but we did see him carrying that into the campsite and it gave us a good laugh

Oh and totally agree about the smoking, forgot that on my lists. Fuck off outside you dirty bastards. In fact, similarly to airports, I suggest that they put up a small tent of their very own where they all have to go to smoke so they can make each other smell of smoke, partially kill each other and make each others' eyes sting instead of those things happening to me. Twats!

Good
The good Weather - a godsend after a weekend of trawling through the mud and rain at Wacken.
Toilets - Vast improvement on last years bogs.
All the bands I saw particularly Sabaton, much better than at Wacken, and The Mighty Wraith for being so unexpectedly awesome.
The Food - Deli Kate's, Uncle Gio's and the tasty as fuck breakfast wrap I got from the place next to Uncle Gio's.
Pale Ales being available in the Bloodstock Arms, much more drinkable than Hobgoblin in heat like that.
Not getting sunburnt despite the heat!

Bad
That near 2 hour fucking queue to get in on Thursday, what the fuck happened there? 9 years of going to Bloodstock and I've never taken so long to get in.
Wasps - stripy cunts.
Getting so fucked on Sunday I fell asleep and missed BLS and Rob Zombie
The Camping Chair city around the main stage.
The baby in a pram I saw in the Sophie Stage, I really hope the parents had some kind of ear protection on the poor kid.
Segregating the bar and only having tiny section for Ales, it always seemed to be massively crowded at the Ales end of the bar whilst the rest of it was nearly empty.
Lack of Ales other than Hobgoblin in the Sophie Tent
The Fairground constantly blasting out their one and only best of Metallica CD, just get rid please.
Trivium - Managed to be even more godawful than I thought they would be.

Ugly
Security having to put up a fence around the showers to protect them from idiots, not the kind of behaviour like to see at Bloodstock.
Some people taking the boxing a bit too seriously and really going for it. Not pretty.

The good: Sabbaton
Opeth
Within Temptation
Most of the bands on Sunday
The loos, surprisingly good!

The Bad: the sound. My God for the most part it was shite!
BLS wanky solos! I've come to see songs! Not solos!
The food. Ok I'll admit I am a bit fussy but it was mostly crap!

The ugly: not too much really.

The dad didn't have facial tattoos he? Was a family in disabled who had a baby, no older than six months old, who would cry every time loud sounds happened. Nothing against the kid, but I don't think it's the best environment for a child so young.
