Re: Pickpockets
inb4 zipper/button pockets/skinny jeans/I'd just know excuse.
Can you 100% confirm this, or are you just mad that you lost your wallet and £40, because it will just cause the band wagon brigade to turn up and climb aboard. There was a problem last year because the amount of discarded empty wallets was staggering, but this year I heard no-one talk about any arena pickpockets; not to say it didn't happen on some level.
So can you confidently confirm and provide evidence someone took your stuff?
Nih

Don't care.
Re: Pickpockets
I was pretty damned vigilant all weekend. I'm pleased to say that I lost nothing. The two reports from my campsite of phones going astray only turned out to be drunkenness and tomfoolery. One turned up at lost property, the other I think he later admitted to dancing like a twit somewhere and the rest I guess you can figure out.
I kind of expected it to be worse this year given the line up. But for what it's worth, there was no toilet vandalism this year and also no pick pocketing... maybe a coincidence?

Re: Pickpockets
One of our lot lost her phone and it was turned in at Lost Property. It does sound like thefts were way down this year (or at least there are fewer people complaining about them).

Re: Pickpockets
I saw several people where made up at their stuff being haded in to lost property. They couldn't believe how friendly the place must be for that to happen.
Re: Pickpockets
We only had one incident during Delain of all bands where a mate of mine caught someone literally red handed with her hand in one of his pockets.
Aside from that didn't see nor hear of anything this year which was nice

Re: Pickpockets
I've heard stories over the years, but next to none this year. Mate lost his car keys on the Thursday, someone handed them in to Lost Property (then again, without knowing what car it is, no point in nicking them).
Trick is, be vigilant and if you have large sums of money on you, spread it about your person and keep it zipped/buttoned up. Especially if you're gonna get hammered or go into pits, etc.

Re: Pickpockets
This is the first year I can recall where there have not been numerous posts regarding thefts.
Not sure whether it was down to increased security or a lack of thieves, but definitely a positive,

Maybe it wasn't his wallet she was fumbling in his pockets for

THis is why I attache everything to my belt, either directly, or with lanyards. Several ShowSec types though I worked there as I was that well prepared!

Two of the Showsec chaps warned us on Saturday morning that there had been a couple of thefts from tents and asked us to be vigilent. Sadly, work had reared its ugly head and I had to go home that day...

Re: Pickpockets
Hi All,
Whilst I don't for a minute think I was pickpocketed, I could well have been during the Rob Zombie Set. I lost my Samsugn Galaxy S4 phone. If ANYONE either knows anything or can assist in my getting it back (ie knows anyone that picked one up or whatever) then I am happy to bung you a reward if I'm reunited with it - I really need the phone back and am determined not to let one bad apple spoil the weekend.
If you have it - Please just give it back. It has photos of my friend and I together just before they died. So it would be amazing if I can be reunited with it.
(PS - Yes I have spoken to Lost Property and No S4's have been handed in)
Any help guys, it would be VERY appreciated.
