Spirytus for me. Checked them out on Youtube on wednesday and instantly like them, theyre like a new nu metal band lol, what with a dj, slap bassist and a singer that raps, sings and screams it was like listening to Korn, Incubus, Limp Bizkit and Drowning Pool all in one band! (and I started my metal journey listening to nu metal so it was nostalgic to me)

Not at the festival itself, but due to their announcement, Ne Obliviscars. Absolutely brilliant band, every member contributes well and none blend into the background, met the guys in the VIP area too and they were friendly :)

All of those are negatives for me! Despite that, although I didn't like them, they were better than I'd have expected from your description.

Anihilated for me, I can't believe I'd never heard of these guys before, considering how long they've been around. Total Slayer worship, but in a good way.

Jasad were good as well.

The "find" of the festival for me was....Gandalf The Red.
I had made it a little bit of a mission for myself to meet this fellow who had trashed my beloved Xentrix at every opportunity on this very forum.
A fellow forumer pointed him out to me on the last day and i wandered over (during Lawnmower Deth i think) and i introduced myself.
I put on my pretend "scary" face and said something like "Now i'm actually standing here in front of you-do you STILL think Xentrix are shit?"
He simply said "Yeah". (And then mumbled something in some weird dialect that was alien to me).
I sauntered off-in a bit of daze,and a little hurt.....
In all seriousness-nice to finally meet you Gandalf!

No real 'new' discoveries as I had listened to most of the bands before the festival (I like to do my homework). With that said, Overoth, Incipit and Mortishead on the New Blood Stage were all fantastic.

I'm a big fan of both Saille and Ethereal and I'm pleased to say that they both put on spectacular sets :)
Rum.
