But you'd like to keep Twisted Sister? :?

Where's your sense of fun?

Haven't seen them live yet myself but heard many really good things and it should be really enjoyable.

Already in discussions to horrifically drag up for shits and giggles

They may dress like women but from all I've heard they play better and harder live than most "metal" dressed bands out there

Since when have Twisted Sister played dressed as women? I've seen them half a dozen times since the mid 1980s and they usually just wear T shirts, denim and jeans.

More like this. So get your facts right before slagging bands off for having an image that they used for about five minutes in a forty year career.

I thought they did the bad make up as a piss take of the glam rock of the day rather than a "serious look". They looked just like your average Rock/metal band last time they played.

If your directing that at me then:

Although I would like to point out that I wasn't slagging them off (my point was despite their image they are a great band), I like them and I am really looking forward to them at BOA. In fact I want them to glam up again just to force Portnoy to do the same

Also if we're being pedantic they glammed up (for want of a better word) from '75 to '86 so not exactly five minutes of their career :P

That was mostly aimed at Killing Time. How can you compare a bit of badly worn drag to rampant pseudo Nazi homoerotic man on man action with "spunkguns" which cover half the crowd in jizz. But whatever floats your boat and thankfully they won't be playing a festival that I'll attend anytime soon.

The image came from when they was involved in New York street gangs. More The Warriors than anything, where they have gangs dressed as anything from transvestites to mime artists. If you haven't seen it then do so.

Seem familiar?

Now you mention it, if you could combine Twisted Sister and Rammstein into one band it would be all kinds of amazing

TS weren't in street gangs (read Dee Snider's biography, great read, down to earth as you can get and completely self depreciating), they were inspired by that movie and Animal House.

I quite like Twister Sister. Really looking forward to seeing them. Never seen them live and heard nothing but good things about their live gigs.

It's a bit odd seeing Dragonforce booked, as the festival's always seemed vehemently opposed to them, but as power metal goes, there's much worse they could have got.

Rotting Christ I absolutely love, so this is a fantastic booking for me, although I'd prefer they were headlining the tent like 2014, but I'm still very happy.

as for Paradise Lost, I love there early stuff, but there mid period albums lost it a bit for me, but they've really got back on track with their last 2 albums, and they were excellent at the Koko last month, so another good booking for me.

Yes 3 repeats, but 3 good repeats, no sign of Hatebreed thankfully!

Their old vocalist left and formed I am I they got some dude from London in on vocals now, had a few drinks with the guy and he's a genuinely nice bloke. We took my girlfriends brother there following the death of his father a couple weeks before and he went out of his way to hang out and make sure he had a good time. Great human being in my books. Musically since he joined they got a bit more sane and stable, probably not hurt by their guitarist showing at least a little more restraint on his drinking than he did in the past.

As for my taste on the announcement, very excited for Paradise Lost, the other two i'll probably end up watching as well.

Rotting Christ were fucking brilliant last time, would rather they're still on Sophie though.

Paradise Lost is a good announcement too so happy with this.
