Obnoxious is actually my favourite-and Creative Restraint(track 1) is H's favourite Acid Reign song.
Great band-i'm glad they are back-and don't let the fact that only one original member is with them now put you off seeing them.

As long as they play Humanoia I will be happy.

Motherly Love and Bully Boy will be a bonus!

Just listened to Ghost Bath on YouTube. Quite like them so will check them out provided they don't clash with someone I really want to see.

Aye Ghost Bath are a bit of alright!

Looks very likely that they will be opening the RJD so they will most likely clash with third rate scuzzy stoner bands in the tents.

So we know the last second stage headliners have been booked, but they haven't been announced yet. Which likely means they have a show/tour coming up. So any thoughts who it might be?

I'm hoping for one of Solstafir, Swallow the Sun or My Dying Bride, all of which have London shows coming up.

Any of those three would be perfect for that slot!

Either My Dying Bride or Oceans Of Slumber, who are supporting them at Islington, would be very welcome.

Haven't we got enough of those types of bands already?

I would prefer something a bit more lively rather than the festival consisting of mainly bands that are more suited to Damnation or Temples festivals.

We have...Paradise Lost? Witchsorrow? I suppose that's all we get most years, but it would definitely be nice to see something along those lines that doesn't play year in year out. I'd love Swallow the Sun or My Dying Bride, still yet to see either (well I've seen 10 minutes of MDB but I want a full set).

I would also sling Mastodon, The King Is Blind, XII Boar and COC into the same bracket. I know they don't sound alike, but they certainly have a similar vibe.

Add in the Black, Industrial and whatever, then their isn't much melody around. With certain exceptions it looks more like a Damnation line up to me. Albeit with a couple of bands that are too big to play there.

Mastodon have had a good bit of melody these past few years. Usually with singles, but Oblivion, Curl of the Burl, and The Motherload stand out particularly from the last 3 albums.

They might have a bit if melody in their sound, but they are still in that category IMO. Besides I dislike Mastodon with a vengeance.

To be honest I'd say Swallow the Sun or My Dying Bride have more melody than all the thrash, death and hardcore we'd get instead. I do see your point though, there's too much of that stonery crap that keeps getting booked for some reason.

Alestorm :eyes:

Don't really care who headlines Sophie Stage, I'll probably be far too knackered after TS to see them anyway.
