I have settled on what was announced so far and have planned my bands/drinking accordingly.

As my drinking to bands ratio is pretty steep I would welcome a few more bands I want to see.

Even if they are all smaller bands, the earlier they announce them, the more time people have to check them out meaning they are more likely to go see them during the festival so the better it will be for the smaller bands.

I really don't imagine they aren't booked at this late stage, so just announce them

Part of me thinks it's to entice people who are on the fence at the last minute so as to nudge them over the line before they realize that the last few bands are not much special.

I get your point though, I want to know my weekend now

I dont think this is particularly likely given that the final bands for the main stage tend to be on the smaller size but if the 2 they have left are actually decent sized bands with draw they might be waiting to announce them to generate maximum hype just before the fest

I'm still holding my breath for some smaller bands that are local to England that I've seen and fallen in love with at previous Bloodstocks or in London that I may not get a chance to see live again unless they get announced or make it big enough to come to Canada one day.

Could they be waiting for the very last pay day before the fest?

11 days before the fest might be cutting it a little fine for people to book time off work

Yeah what's taking them so long!? Thought they'd have all the mainstage done by now, can't still be ironing out details, makes no sense!

Stubb, Grifter and Ten Foot Wizzard playing in the Serpents Lair - better than a lot of the lower order of the main stage despite the fact they can all be seen for a few quid at all dayers up and down the county

They normally leave a mainstage opening band until the final announcement when times are put up, I believe it was Savage Messiah last year.

Hopefully they'll do an announcement tomorrow and probably save the rest for 9th August. Surprised that nothing about the Jager stage has been announced yet other than Campbell opening it on the Thursday

Phil Campbell is headline Thursday Sophie stage, but I do agree about the Jager stage it is unusual not to have heard something official by now.

I know he's playing the Sophie stage but I swear I read something about him opening the Jager bar in tribute to Lemmy
