Pretty Decent announcement all round. Friday should be a pretty fun silly day up until COC where the great bands start. Gloryhammer should be fun and not much need to listen to them beforehand really haha. Whispered sound great and Hark are decent too. Some good bands I've never heard of on the Thursday too, not bad. Still would have loved some Grand Magus, Cattle Decapitation and Dark Funeral though but pretty decent announcement of good lower card bands considering we knew it would not be anything big

The Friday mainstage still baffles me a bit, up until CoC all the bands seem very small compared to the other days, although I imagine Gloryhammer is going to draw a large crowd.

Apart from Power Metal I'm liking the diversity of bands this year, maybe the odd too many black and tech metal bands but compared to last year it's an improvement.

Now to try and plan my weekend :D

Diversity? There's not much of that I'm afraid.

Too many bands that are dark/ gothic/ doomy/ heavy/ sludge IMO. I like that stuff as much as the next man, but below the headliners it looks a bit too much like a Damnation Festival line up with a few token melodic bands thrown in to me.

There is a lot if truth in that statement

Completely agree. And that's been the case for a few years now. It always makes me laugh when there's the odd band announced who are viewed as more commercial (Machine Head, Rob Zombie, Trivium, etc.) and people immediately start whining about how Bloodstock is becoming like a 'mini-Download', when to me, I look at the line-up as a whole and it feels far more like 'Damnation Open Air' recently - and that's not a good thing btw.

I'd never heard of them before the announcement, but they are definitely on my list now!

Ouch! I'll be watching both MLC & CoC. My biggest gap on RJD is Saturday morning (nothing to see until Rotting Christ) but al least there's Heretic Order, Mage & The Rave Age on Sophie to watch until then. I hadn't realised Stuck Mojo had been moved to above MLC though, must've missed that in one of the reshuffles.

May lack in melodic bands but I'm liking the diversity in the non-medlodic bands then

If the clashfinder is to be believed I have a horrible clash Sunday, Far From History/Whispered/Saw The World Burn/Vektor/Symphony X
