Would of thought they would be a special guest now, would be a very strong booking though!

But if it did happen then it would most probably be one of their last ever concerts. Almost certainly the last in the UK.

I heard it rumoured about Twisted Sister whilst we were at Beermageddon..

Supposed to have come from a reliable source, make of it what you will.

I wouldn't of said so no, quite a hard one to judge because I'm not sure popular they are these days, would off thought about 3rd or 4th down?

Hmm a bit low down I would of thought, Academy's are still quite big aren't they?

Academy 2 is 900 capacity.

Wow! Would have thought they'd be bigger than that. Maybe late afternoon slot? I'd be happy if they played, regardless of the position.

I think with Ministry is that they are one of those bands that had a bit of success back in the day but they haven't really appealed to the next generation as much. In this country anyway. In Europe they like that sort of thing, hence their high placements on festival line ups.

Would like to see King Diamond, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest as headliners myself...

Ah, fair point.

They tend to muscle their way into headliner spots by announcing their last ever tour every year.

Just wish they'd tell the truth, wouldn't be missed by me anyway.

I fucking love Ministry and would be bang up for them at Bloodstock.
The world is a better place for having mad bastards like Uncle Al.

I agree, NiN and Rammstein (plus Fear Factory to a lesser extent) are the only bands that have maintained a high profile after the 90's industrial scene faded away.

Ministry are more known for two albums and for Jourgensen being completely nuts

Sounds about right, but think this is the first time we've had two bands announced at the fest so maybe it'll knock another announcement back a bit?

Generally the constant stream of semi-regular announcements is a hundred times more important than quantity of bands announced (within reason). Hence why they don't just blow their load in one announcement.

They'll be following up Behemoth and Venom in the next few weeks i would have thought.
