I'm excited to again see Twisted Sister, Anthrax, Acid Reign, Slayer and Paradise Lost. Checking out other bands on the various stages is also fun as I find new bands I had never heard or seen before.

I'm also looking forward to trying out VIP this year and catching up with the good folks in the Loners and Newbies group who made my first BOA last year such a laugh.

Lastly I can't wait to have more awesome food from Deli Kate! :dibbley:

That's one of the things that gets me the most excited about Bloodstock. Sure there's main stage bands that I may or may not have seen or could see in my home town. But it's the sheer variety and opportunity to check out so many bands over the course of 4 days straight. And since I'm coming from another country, these aren't "local" bands I would've seen throughout the year. So, I've got so much discovering to do.

Plus, I get to be in England all the while.

Agreed. The journey to Derby is part of my experience and I love being down there. I just dislike the 6 hour bus journey from Glasgow!

I'm so unexcited that I have already abandoned hope that it is going to get any better and have booked a holiday for the Bloodstock weekend. 3rd year in succession I've given up on the festival.....which is sad.

Damn right. tea, scones and complaining about the French for all!

I'm quite excited, lots of bands I am really looking forward to and the usual escape from the real world for 4 days is always welcome :D

Drinking beer, listening to Metal and watching bands isn't the real world? Where have I been for most of my life?

Certainly not drinking tea* and eating scones. And I quite like the French.

*Prefer the other Tetley's and PG Sips. :D

Some of you aren't respecting this thread. There's plenty of other threads to do your bitching in. This is the 'Getting excited' thread.

Oh, and other good things about England:

Full English Breakfast
Countryside and Castles
Faeries (if they're gonna be spotted anywhere, it's England)
Pork Scratchings (those times when you're real drunk, hungry, and you get a good crunchy meaty one)

if there's one thing we like in England it's a good moan.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please make up your mind.

Yours Sincerely, Mrs Trellis, North Wales.
