Played boa in 09 (3 years later) supported Dragonforce that year . They played again on their first headling your in 2012 (3 years later)
Played bloodstock 2013 . Toured the end of 2014 (2nd uk headline tour )
Played boa 2015. Co headlined with Alestorm this year..

Yeah they've played here way more than that - as well as the gigs you mention, just in London I've seen them supporting Therion in 2007, headlining the Purple Turtle in 2007, playing the Purple Turtle again in 2008, headlining the Garage in 2009, headlining the Electric Ballroom in 2010, headlining the Koko in 2011.

2012 was definitely NOT their first UK headline tour, they'd done plenty of headline tours before that.

They're over here at least every 2 years, and most of the time every year.

I'd be happy with Sabaton headlining, only seen them a few times and they're great live. OK for you people that live in gig central but for those of us outside of the normal tour routes your 'all the time' is our 'once in a blue moon'!

Watain, KoRn and some power metal bollocks. Hell most likely in a sub-headline position.
Evil twatting Scarecrow headlining Sophie.
All hail the brave sailor men of the mighty Jorvik Turbojugend!!!

Sabaton?

Big enough? Yes, should they headline next year? No.

We all know they will keep getting booked by BOA so do people really want them to take up a headline slot year after year or keep them as special guest for awhile longer and get (hopefully) a new headliner every year instead?

Where would Alestorm feature on a bill these days? Third or special guests?

Given the size of some of the bands that have not been in the SG position, I'd imagine they'd still be in one of the 40 min slots

I'm thinking that we'll get a Sabaton and Amon Amarth co-headliner, I don't think either are quite big enough to do it by themselves but together they could get away with it, personally i'd love to see that but I can understand that a lot of you may disagree. Either way, just throwing it out there.

To buy a bloodstock ticket you have to change your name by deed poll to Man 'O Warrior,
Loin cloths are the only items of merch to be sold on site,
Instead of video footage played on the main stage screens a countdown timer is put on until Manowar grace the stage,
Any bands formed before Manowar must be referred to by the compere on stage as "hailing from the dark ages"
Bands that are not Black Sabbath or Manowar must not be referred to as metal bands but "puny weaklings"

I imagine that if they even come over here they'll do their own show full of whizzbangery.

Plus, if they were to do any festival (and I think that's slim), Download are a more likely destination.
