Hell? Great band but couldn't get more than a few hundred to Leicester on a Saturday for a one off show. Maybe one of the 1hr slots, but not SG level yet, when you compare them to other bands in those slots.

Devin's probably a good shout.

Anthems? Can't see them doing that, it's nowhere near as good as Nightside. More likely to be mix of stuff, but if they wanna do Anthems I wouldn't complain.

Emperor playing fests again in 2017 is a funny one, as Ihsahn has said from the start he doesn't want the reunions to result in them making a new album. Only so many reunions they can do, but If BOA can get them I'd fully support that and it'd pretty much guarantee me going.

Anthems is my favourite black metal album of all time, much better than Nightside so just goes to show different people like different things!m

But I'd take either that or a general set

They could play Wurzels covers and I'd still buy my ticket on the basis of seeing Emperor again.

That would be worth seeing irrespective of your opinion on the band.

Only if they hand out free straw hats for everyone

Part of me thinks Amon Amarth and Kreator will do a co-headline next year, just a hunch that I'd like to come true.

Surprised they didn't announce anything.

I'm holding on hope that this means they're figuring out contracts with Judas Priest and know they don't need a mid-fest announcement to bring up the excitement.

Or that next years headliners are gonna be a fucking state. Did anyone say Opeth?

I'd say most likely this. Opeth would be the kind of thing they could easily announce, more likely we'll be getting stuff like Disturbed and Killswitch Engage.
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!

Already heard some decent rumours.

But I'll put them all in the bingo thread when it starts.

If no one minds, seeing as I'm the joint winner then the next winner's beer is on me as a pass it around thing.

Don't all win as I'll be skint.

Hopefully it will be Judas Priest, Emperor and Amon Amarth/Kreator/Devin Townsend.

Expecting Opeth, Killswitch Engage and Korn.

I could see Emperor being bumped down to special guests a bit like Behemoth, as they wouldn't be such a rarity, and having Amon Amarth above them headlining, the risk of bumping them up kind of cancelled out by a really strong sub.
I think the other 2 will be something like Steel Panther and Killswitch Engage or FFDP with Ghost and In Flames subbing, can't think of any more classic headliners unless they bring back WASP or Megadeth, but I spose 2015 showed they don't always have a classic headliner. Airborne, Volbeat and Opeth in with a good chance too I'd say
I don't think they'll be a power metal headliner or sub unless it's Sabaton, surely too soon for them but I could see it!
