I might post this every year, but yet again I don't recognise at least half the bands on the line up.
Whilst I slowly but surely make my way through them all, can someone tell me... Is there any folk metal on the lineup yet?
Is there any folk metal yet?

Re: Is there any folk metal yet?
Im sad to say that there isn't a single folk metal band - or a band from Finland - for the first time since I started going in 2008. I can't imagine at this late a stage announcing either...

Do Whispered count? They've got a bit of folk to them, if it's the right Whispered I'm thinking of.

I wouldn't class them as folk. They have folkish elements with all the Japanese stuff but they mostly just sound like Children of Bodom.

True, though a tiny folkish element is better than no folk so I'll grasp at that bizarre Finnish Samurai straw and investigate the unsigned bands!

Myrath are kinda folk power metal, but of the Arabic folk variety! Really dig it though.

Have fallen in love with Myrath, had never heard of them til they got announced and they're now one of the bands I'm most looking forward to seeing.

Aklash?
They certainly have folkish elements. Although not quite in a Hey Nonny Nonny way.

I was so happy when Isarnos were added to the line up. Any band with a hurdy-gurdy is alright by me.

They seem to have gone AWOL from the lineup page, pretty sure they were on there before
