Does anyone have a good link for a long range weather forecast, the metoffice long range forecast is as middle-of-the-road as possible.

TBF, this far out, all anyone can realistically say is "there will be weather".

Dry weather would be great but not as hot as last year on the Saturday!

Metcheck showing rain on the Saturday and Sunday, but this far out it's far from accurate.

I wasn't there for that, but the pictures were horrifying! This weather we're having now is supposed to stay around for some time, so hopefully it'll be like this.

Maybe not the 32c weather we had a few days ago, that was fucking brutal. But just warm, clear skies.

I'm still finding mud in my stuff from it. I thought Download last year was bad, and then this year happened. Diabolical. As a member of the press I at least get to shelter in the press tent when I am not out shooting, but all the same, I still had to spend a lot of time out in that downpour as I had to cover a lot of bands this year. One of my cameras got a bit fucked up despite being weather-sealed and covered with a special rain covering, and it turns out my raincoat is more weather resistant than waterproof, as my clothing underneath it got soaked right through, leaving me a shivering wreck for much of the weekend.

It was quite fun returning the mud splattered, rain-stained and all round filthy rental car on the Monday morning though.

I am really hoping for some nice weather at Bloodstock. Last year was mostly okay, wasn't it? Actually I seem to recall one of the days last year being uncomfortably hot. Long range forecasts are useless though; rain can only really be accurately forecast within a 24 hour window.

Wanted (as would be excellent):
dry, overcast, 22c at the hottest each day.

Expected (as will be hellish):
wet (heavy flash showers), sunny, 24c at the coolest each day.

Not fun if the thing gets cancelled or people get hit like they did the other week in Germany though.

The worst weather is wind as completely it ruins the sound. Was it Sunday 2014 that was really windy? Much worse than rain.

Last year the forcast said rain all weekend a couple of days out, and we had almost unbroken sunshine (although too much hot), so I'm not going to be putting any stock in forecasts 3 weeks out.
