Re: Clashfinder
I don't recall them announcing the set as 75 mins long, simply that they would play the Satanist in full.

Yeah, me neither. According to wiki The Satanist is about 44 minutes long, so it wiould be about right to fill their entire set if they don't have a longer one.

So that explains why no one knew then

Re: Clashfinder
If (uncertain if it's been confirmed or just rumour) that no Sophie bands clash with RJD headliners and it's a DJ instead, then I wonder if the clashfinder will the same as last year (starting at 11) and the DJ will just play the Sophie sub-headliner set. So essentially last year's clashfinder will be near or less the same. So on most clashfinder's you just need to knock the Sophie bands (before the headliner) down a slot.

Re: Clashfinder
I think in that case the times would still shuffle though because the Sophie slot last year finished before the RJG SG so you'd have a 40 minute gap where the only thing happening is the Jager stage. Expect Sophie SG to finish around 9 like they did Friday last year thanks to that pointless Pritchard & Dainton thing.

Re: Clashfinder
Hmmm. The clashfinder has been updated, however I can't see that being right as I would expect the DJs to be on whilst the stage is empty rather than taking up an actual slot with space either side.

Re: Clashfinder
I'm wondering if the DJ slots that sit between sophie subs and sophie headliners on the app are the guest DJs they announced yesterday?
The press release specifically says that 4DJOTA are running 12-2 every night (and is treat as being a separate thing to the gues DJs). Combine that with the report we heard that no one clashes with Twisted Sister (or no one for any particular length of time, at least), then I would guess you're looking at Diamond Head starting no earlier than 15 minutes from the end of TS's set, and finishing just before midnight.
Now, considering that they've gone for the same number of bands/guests each day, I think we can guess that the same model will be used for the other headliners.
Taking all the above together, I'd guess that the guests DJ slots are actually for a decent length of time (what would be the point in it being less than 30 minutes?). As such, I think they take place just prior to and during the first part of the headliners.

Re: Clashfinder
"Over on the Sophie Lancaster stage, once the bands have finished for the night, the DJ squad steps in to take you through ‘til 2am. Expect a guest slot on the decks from EVIL SCARECROW’s ringmaster Monty Blitzfist and Kraven Morrdeth on Friday, the DJs from London’s VooDoo Rocks on Saturday and Total Rock’s Anna Dumpe on Sunday, plus BOA’s resident 4 DJ’s Of The Apocalypse doing their regular 12 Midnight-2am slot."
Yes looks like a good shout for the guest DJ to be playing whilst the RJD headliner is on (which is a shame as I'd watch a Monty Blitzfist set but not missing Twisted Sister for it!) then 4DOTA on the last slot.

Re: Clashfinder
Hope the current clashfinder is near enough true, pretty much eliminates all but a few minor clashes for me. However I don't like the idea of this being an ongoing thing, a DJ isn't a real alternative imho (unless you are into dance music
) and feels like it's just a token thing so BOA can just say "we do have alternatives"

Re: Clashfinder
I can't see the SL special guest bands finishing at eight, having DJs for two and a half hours and then headliners starting at half ten though.
More likely a 9 o'clockish finish, DJs during the RJD headliners and then SL headliners.

Re: Clashfinder
Absolutely, that clashfinder is using last year's slots which are irrelevant for the Sophie stage (even more so on Sat if there's no Myrath replacement). The gap between the end of Sophie SG and RJD headliner is going to be 15 mins at the most. Enough time for people to see the show, have a slash, grab a beer and get over to the main act.

Re: Clashfinder
The update clears a lot of clashes for me, but the king is blind and Akercocke are clashing now.
May have to invest in a ticket for Oct 9th for Akercocke as the king is blind were my find of 2014 and want to see them again.
My mate's band, Exhumation are still clashing with Behemoth, but I found the satanist a bit forgettable compared to their previous work.
But over all it's looking good for me

Re: Clashfinder
Clashes wise it's looking much better, but I'm going to hold off getting too excited about that until we get official set times.
