The thing is, since the first band is on at 1030, I never considered the headliners to finish "early" in any sense of the word.
That's why I've long been an advocate of compressing the day more by shifting the New Blood back a slot or two, and playing into the evening.
Similarly, a re-jig of the lower slots on the other stages could lead to the same number of bands playing, but the arena opening an hour or two later for a moar manageable day.
Headliner times?
Re: Headliner times?
I started open air festivals with Wacken, bands from 11am-3am so Bloodstock days feel short. Though we do get three of them rather than two.

The longer days would be acceptable if there where fewer of them. Both together would kill me!

Stop trying to watch all the bands Slev

It seems a bit like real ale beer spotters who taste all 10 pints on that day, yet don't really get the benefit of a good pint.

Re: Headliner times?
I aim to check out all the bands, yes. That's what I've always gone to Bloodstock for.
Each year, I always end up watching several full sets, and really enjoing them.

Re: Headliner times?
I listen to them all beforehand so I don't waste any time seeing any death metal or 'core bands when I could be watching something more paletable.

Re: Headliner times?
A difficult one this - on the one hand more late night music, but you are a bit stuffed if you don't want to watch the headliner.
Personally I'd prefer a choice...until there is a clash I'm really bothered about

Re: Headliner times?
I tried doing that in the past, I found it detracted from the whole experience. There are also bands where are good on record and not live, or vice-versa.
