Sonata Arctica

Reckon it'd be a decent booking, got enough tunes to fill an hour long set.

Always love Sonata, and I'd much rather these than Hatebreed again or something equally shit. Don't get the hate, they've always been great when I've seen them.

Yeah, don't think I've ever seen them* and have developed a fondness for them of late.

* they were quite possibly at a Wacken I went to between 2001-2004 before my love for power metal had blossomed so I may have seen bits of them without paying much attention.

Sadly they're just not the band they once were. I had to miss the London show where they played "Ecliptica" in full due to other commitments, and by the time I saw them in Sweden last month, they'd reverted back to their standard shit setlist. I found it all quite dull and it felt a bit like just listening to the CD being played over the PA. In fact, with the amount of backing tape they were using, it almost was...

I can quite categorically say that Sonata Arctica are my favourite band of all time. I've been listening to them for over 10 years now and I never tire of listening to their whole discography.

They're really something else live. Tony's stage presence really makes them a joy to watch.

Give them a 3 hour headlining slot they deserve :D (or more realistically put them as a sub headliner under Nightwish).

Sure, I'd love to see Sonata up there, so long as they play some of their oldish stuff.
