Nah sod that, dull as feck and only of interest to overweight 60 year old prog fans these days.

Thankfully Damnation normally delivers the goods when it comes to having alternatove headliners when they've got crap main headliners - i.e. we could see Ghost Bath rather than Napalm Death last year, or when we got 40 Watt Sun playing at the same time as At The Gates a few years ago.

That's underwhelming (though admittedly think the death/black bands will be more up my street) for me, Opeth are decent enough but not enough to tempt me travel all that way to see them. Apart from Godeater I've not even heard of the rest. Guess gives me some new stuff to listen to.

God I wish they'd stop announcing good bands for their terrible festival. Unless Opeth play some other shows (which I'm hoping since it wasn't announced as an exclusive) I might have to go again. Would also be great to see Jo Quail again, she was outstanding supporting Myrkur.

Just out of interest, what don't you like about the festival?

Presumably what everyone dislikes about the festival - the fact it's ridiculously packed for a small festival area, the fact you can never get anywhere near close to see the bands, the arsey security, and the now regular occurrence of everyone getting manhandled outside in the middle of the fest when the fire alarm goes off.

I love Damnation, but it is unneccessarily stressful a lot of the time.

Rather than duplicating last year's rant, I'll just say that it's pretty much all down to the venue. Too many people in too small of a space results in missing out on seeing things that I'm there to see.

Yes its full, but I've never missed out on a band I want to see. Get there five minutes early and you are always fine. Does that mean sometimes missing the last 5 minutes of another band you want to see? Yes, but that's festivals for you

It's a good headliner for the festival, and it's been well over a decade since I've seen them them, but I will hold off ticket buying till they announce some other big names.
Welcome to a brave new world/ The future here or haven't you heard?

Mayhem, Gaahl's Wyrd, Gost, Vintage Caravan, Voices and Inter Arma announced.

Guessing it was Mayhem being tied with Incineration that held up the announcement.

God I hate Raging Speedhorn. Terrible music, terrible live, and seem to stink out every festival every year.

Other than that decent announcement, but still nothing that I have to show up for.
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!

a line up that started out atrociously actually looks good now - Alcest, Primordial, A Pale Horse Called Death, Jo Quail, Gaahl's Wyrd and Blood Red Throne....just about enough to make a purchase worthwhile.

Raging Speedhorn though FFS  I know they've played before and they can get them on the cheap cos they'd play anywhere that gives them a 4 pack of Tesco value beer, but talk about a waste of a slot.
