Desaster/Root/Archgoat/Mork - London 01.12.19

Postby Ghost » Fri May 10, 2019 7:36 pm

Have only seen one date at the Camden underworld. Don't recall Desaster playing over here before. I bought their early albums in the nineties. Not sure what they are like now.

Only aware of Archgoat, but they're one of my favourite bands. Will do my best to make this.

I've only heard of Desaster and Mork. Didn't realise Desaster were still going to be honest. They were part of the black/thrash revival in the mid nineties along with bewitched, inferno etc.

The new mork album is very good.

Over here as in UK or London specifically, cause they played Brofest a few years ago.
I also saw them at Wacken 2001. I used to love this band. I like Root, too. Don't listen to the other 2.

I didn't know that. They are classing the gig as a triple headliner so I guess they mostly get the same set times.

Under blazing hot Majorcan skies I've been checking out some of the more recent Desaster albums. They're really good! Reckon I'll give this one a nod ahead of Blasphemy. It's been too long since I've been to a gig at the Underworld as well

Blasphemy and Archgoat two days in a row is mandatory!

They still play quite a bit from their debut album live. So check out a touch of medieval darkness. It's not on spotify but it's on you tube. Got their original singer who made them sound a bit more unique.

Dammit. Just realised I'm seeing Romesh Ranganathan with the wife on 1st Dec. Good thing I didn't rush in to buying a ticket.

Looks like it's Blasphemy & Vulcano on the Saturday night after all.

I expect to see you headbanging down the front for Mork. I can't be the only one

I still need to check out Mork and Root properly but I'm sure I will be. :D

Archgoat sound great though, so looking forward to seeing them.

It's a nice varied line up. Morks latest is probably in my top 10 albums of the year. Not sure about Root really. Thought they were OK but might not be my thing. Archgoat are great.

Godammit!! Just tried booking my train tickets for this and it's the dreaded rail replacement bus service. Looks like I'll have to drive, which means no beer.
