Perhaps I'm out of the loop, but £50 seems a bit steep for Amon Amarth (hypothetically speaking). Are they big enough to be charging that sort of price now?

I would assume about 35. I think the pre-sale is on so maybe someone with access to that would know.

Standing ticket for Manchester was £42.45

Now the face value is £32.50 but that's TicketBastard for you..

Most shows in larger venues are pushing £40 as standard now, you get a few exceptions but unfortunately the way it's going.

Went to manchester last night , not seen Amon Amarth since bloodstock 2017 but overall the 13th time .
Hypocrisy opened , steady stuff ,nothing flash . Arch enemy now they are really good , very enjoyable set . Amon Amarth still have it , great set and pyro , now if only trans pennine Express could sort themselves out !!!

Went to the Brixton gig. All bands were cracking especially amon amarth whose special effects were pretty cool. Still prefer Angela gossow but arche enemy were good.

Terrible venue though, bloody freezing!

I know what you mean. The first time I went there was for the Sabaton gig a couple pf Januarys ago and the indoor temperature was fairly representative of the outdoor temperature. It must be awful for summer gigs. :(

Got it early and the first thing I noticed was how bloody cold it was, I've never experienced it that bad before.

Hypocrisy were the main reason I went and they were great, even if they did have quite a crappy sound. Arch Enemy were solid, but I can always take or leave them and this was the same, Amon Amarth put in a great headline performance, mental stage show, great night.

Out of the 3 times I've been to Brixton academy, rage against the machine in 93 wasn't cold. Must've been in the summer as there wasn't many people there. Rammstein was warm mostly due to the use of fire about 12 odd years ago.

Maybe in 15 years when I go again it will be warmer

The show was amazing actually. Really good value when you look at most modern tours of that type.

That's because you only go there for the mass orgy nights they have on the first Tuesday of every month.
