Some band called 'special guests' - must be a good band as they seemed to be getting everywhere at the mo

I'm a huge fan of Special Guests. So excited to see them again!

It'll be the Birmingham show for me I suspect. Happy to finally get a chance to see them headline a show again after 12 years of waiting. They were good in support of Iron Maiden last year but I want a full set.

Like the Volbeat tour, this is well timed for a Bloodstock 2020 headliner announcement! :P

Aside from being personally disappointed if KSE were announced as a headliner (because they're not my thing at all), I'd actually be more surprised than anything - as with Trivium, I'd be questioning whether or not KSE are even big enough in the UK any more?

15 years ago, sure. But now? KSE (and Trivium) are confined to Academy venues whereas a band like Parkway Drive (as well as the other headliners this year, and Volbeat) are selling out Apollo-sized venues

Agreed- maybe they're special guest material at best, but Vicky seemed keen to book them on yesterday's q&a thing
She wanted nothing...and I delivered

Would she ever say "I hate that band and would never book them" though?

I'm calling Light the Torch as one of the supports with Howard joining Killswitch for one or two songs (he makes a guest appearance on the new album). I wouldn't be surprised if one of the crappy bands from BOA Saturday like Code Orange are on this tour too.

I'm up for this, been a few years since I've seen a headline show and they are always good live when I've seen them.

Hopefully not Code Orange or similar crap as support though

In 2007 I saw Killswitch Engage with The Haunted and Bring Me The Horizon as supports. Whatever happened to the latter?

I get your point (totally agree on the Trivium part) but KSE's tour has more dates while also being in the same venues as tours by previous headliners. KSE's doing 6 dates in academy's while Amon Amarth and Gojira are only doing 3 in the same venues. Mastodon did an extra 1 earlier in the year in the same venues.

Not a science I know but if the tour sells well you could say they have the pull (whether it'd attract people to BOA is another argument though)

I hadn't heard of either band until I read about the supports yesterday. Will have to check them out.

Never heard of Tenside and can't say I'm bowled over by them; bog standard metalcore. Very surprised we got Revocation but finally gives me a chance to see them. Must be selling well to get away with such small supports
