I don't know much about them. I know there a big deal in trad circles, and I know they have neglected the UK, but that's it. They are playing local to me at the weekend though.

Any album recommendations?

1992s trapped is considered a breakthrough . Like Grave digger they have had a few different lineups and even more albums . Peavy wagner been the constant.
Best idea is to check recent output to see where the band are . If only Grave digger would tour like this in the UK.

I only ever saw Grave digger at bloodstock years ago. They were great though, and I became a fan. Those sorts of band used to really make the fest back then. It's a shame we don't get them on the Sophie stage nowadays.

They're one of the "Big 4" of power metal, and have a long career with currently 26 studio albums to choose from. The style has changed a little over the years. The following should give you a reasonable cross section:

  • End of all days
  • Ghosts
  • Unity
  • Carved in stone
  • Seasons of the black

It got cancelled. Poor ticket sales? Terrible support acts did not help, I reckon.

I went to Sheffield instead. No more than 50. But when I went to see Tailgunner in Nottingham the club was full (ca. 100). I am very happy for Tailgunner (support bands were way better too) but I wish things were a little bit better for a classic band that's been around for 40 years.
