My guesses for the Thursday atm are Skiltron and Raised by Owls

Raised by Owls because they normally open with a band from the Hobgoblin stage the year before and they both got a massive crowd and there silly brand of grindcore just fits Thursday perfectly

Skiltron I recon mostly because they have 3 shows in the UK leading up to Bloodstock ending in them playing in Sheffield on Wednesday and then they dont have to be in Germany til Saturday so imo its gonna be really weird if they are not announced somewhere

What my weekend will hopefully look like, excusing possible clashes.

FRIDAY:
Onslaught
Memoriam
Sodomized Cadaver
Bloodbath
Reprisal
De Profundis
Emperor
Judas Priest

SATURDAY:
Nailed to Obscurity
Forgotten Remains
Power Trip
SepticFlesh
Conjurer
Venom Inc.
A Forest of Stars
Cannibal Corpse
Gojira

SUNDAY:
Bio-Cancer
At The Gates
Pallbearer
Watain

Sunday this year has to be a contender for worst BOA day lineup, at least in recent years? It is absolutely woeful. The other two days are decent but the drop in quality is astounding.

That's pretty much why I'm half tempted to see them, Addicted to That Rush is a classic but other than that it's just to see Gilbert and Sheenan rip it up.

So, out of curiosity, what day do people think is the strongest so far?

Friday is by far the best, however Saturday has picked up in later announcements. It's still not as good as Friday though.

Friday is the best day by a mile for me, lots of bands I want to see. Sat is mixed with a couple of must see bands and Sunday is pretty shit.

This sounds quite plausible. I'd guess Skiltron woud either sub-headline or headline, depending on budget etc.

I think Friday takes it for me just with that top 3 run.

Every day has plenty I want to see though!

Friday is the best day for me, and Sunday is pretty decent but this is massively weighted by Nightwish being one of my favourite bands. If the headliner was a band I wasn't as bothered about then my opinion of the Sunday would probably be quite different.

Saturday is probably the worst day of any BOA lineup I've attended in the past 10 years - absolutely awful.

If I were going my weekend would like look this, with those capitalised the ones I'd actually be bothered about seeing, the rest just because I'd be there.

Friday

Onslaught
De Profundis
Bloodbath
Suicidal Tendencies
EMPEROR
JUDAS PRIEST
Doro

Saturday

Power Trip
A FOREST OF STARS
Orden Ogan
VENOM INC.
ALESTORM

Sunday

PALLBEARER
AT THE GATES
Watain

Sunday is easily the worst day in Bloodstock's history. The vast majority of it is stuff I'd actively avoid!

Saturday is abysmal, with only one band (Orden Ogan, unsurprisingly) that I have any real interest in watching. I'll watch Septicflesh, Limb and A Forest Of Stars because they're on. But I'm guessing I'm going to be hoping for something worth watching on the New Blood stage for most of the day.

Friday
Sodomized Cadaver
Kamelot
LoveBites
Priest

Saturday
Nailed To Obscurity
Orden Ogan
Combichrist
Forest of Stars
Voyager
WIth the Dead
Gojira
Orphaned Land

Sunday
Monument
Evergrey
Amaranthe
Mr Big
Pallbearer
Nightwish

Going off that I guess Satuday is my best day, and Friday is a bit shit. Sunday is my favourite though - even though between Amaranthe and Pallbearer I have nothing (I'll only see Mr Big because they are on), the bands that I'll watch I genuinely love.
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!

Ignoring the painful clashes (Fucking Pallbearer and ATG) this is how my weekend is looking (Gonna copy Soze's capitalisation idea);

Friday:

Memoriam
Bloodbath
INGESTED
EMPEROR
JUDAS PRIEST

Saturday:

POWER TRIP
SEPTICFLESH
Conjurer
VENOM INC
A Forest of Stars
Cannibal Corpse
EXHORDER
Gojira
Orphaned Land

Sunday:

Mantar
AT THE GATES
PALLBEARER
Watain

So in summary Saturday remains the best day from a statistical perspective. Sunday is mainly shocking but unlike previous years it has a really strong finish with two bands I regularly listen to. At The Gates were the one of the first extreme metal bands I got into so they hold a dear place in my heart.

Friday also has a weak ass start but it has the un-fucking-believable SG/Headline combo of Emperor/Priest which is arguably the best combo out of all the years I have attended.

For me its:
Friday
Onslaught
Memoriam
Sodomized Cadaver
Bloodbath
Suicidal Tendencies
Ingested
Lovebites
Emperor
Judas Priest

Saturday
Power Trip
Orden Ogan
Septicflesh
Conjurer
Venom Inc
Alestorm
Cannibal Corpse
Exhorder
Gojira
Orphaned Land

Sunday
Monument
Evergrey
Mr. Big - very meh about this one
Mantar
At The Gates
Pallbearer
Watain - well I would if there wasn't a huge gap between them and Pallbearer, so I'll be missing out to save a day's holiday

Sunday is rubbish for me, but not as bad as it was.

Chuck in Doro on Friday and King Leviathan on Sunday and this is pretty much my list. Plenty to see and we still don't have the New Blood stage to fill in any gaps. I'm actually pleased Sunday is lower key as I should be able to pace myself for Watain at the finish.

Love Arkona and Skiltron, Bloodshot Dawn and Hundred Year Old Man are good. Will give Bloodshot Dawn and Fire Red Empress a miss

In today's episode of "let's make some uninspired repeat bookings" we get... Thursday in the Sophie stage!
