There were rumours going around camp that a band member at this year's fest let slip that Dimmu Borgir and Children of Bodom were both booked (they were so ceetain, apparently, that they expected them in the first announcement).

I could see Dimmu subbing Nightwish in a sort of 'they are both symphonic but also quite different' sort of way. COB are probs a 3rd top band these days aren't they? I will go out on a limb and say they will play Saturday.

Can there be an embargo on Dimmu until they've released new material? This would be their 3rd appearance since their last album which would be 8 years old by next year

Very very poor announcements so far. Been 9 years running and seriously thinking of not going next year. Hopefully a return of a thrash band like Exodus, always goes down well a bit of thrash.

There was too much thrash this year, as there has been for several years. By all means book some thrash bands. Just keep it to a moderate level!

But seriously a more balanced sub genres at bloodstock would be good but not always possibal its all down to lagistics. Whos avalible. If you get offered 10 high profile thrash bands and you need to book bands for slots ul take it. U take whos avalible at that time.

I hope that's true! I've seen them once before at Download, but that was ten years ago! For the past few years I've been getting more and more keen on seeing them again.

Given Vicky was talking up Body Count earlier this year I wouldn't be surprised to see them announced at some point.
