Yeah, I'm thinking those are pretty likely, maybe one (or more) of the Pegg/Frost films, Metal a Headbangers Journey (or similar documentary), probably a cheesy horror or action film. Stuff along those lines.

Emperor
Carcass
At The Gates

Anathema
Opeth
Paradise Lost
Strapping Young Lad
Monster Magnet
Immortal

Plus more rock-y bands like Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Faith No More etc and other stuff like Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth, Sepultura etc

If the DJ has a little imagination, it doesn't have to mean all nu-metal and mainstream stuff

Depends on the DJ they've hired. Most DJs who are hired with the remit of playing 1990s influenced metal aren't going to be thinking black, power or melodeath sadly. It's to be hoped the fact they're playing Bloodstock may give them cause to broaden their horizons but I wouldn't hold my breath!

To be fair, from what I've seen from him, Dom Lawson has pretty good knowledge of music so I don't expect he'll just wheel out the usual '90s metal' cuts. That's what I hope anyway!

Good call. Thursday night we get This Is Spinal Tap and Bad News.

There's a poll up for the Friday night, which will be sci-fi and horror https://www.facebook.com/events/2151857 ... 415778675/

And another for the Saturday, which will be classic 80s and 90s https://www.facebook.com/events/2151857 ... 252445558/

Big shame about Bio-Cancer, was really looking forward to them. Though DR are a decent replacement so softens the blow a bit.

A few decent additions to the new blood stage but the only one that has blown me away is actually Turbyne who I somehow missed last time around, will make sure I catch them.

I spent this morning organizing Bloodstock-related travel. Managed to get the train to/from Reading for only £26.60.

If this sun carries on over BOA then I'll be spending more time in the tents, hopefully some more NB bands are to my taste

Don't spend too much time in your own tent or you'll suffocate. They're like fucking greenhouses.

The 28 day forecast is predicting "unsettled" weather into August. So we could get anything.

Oh god no, I imagine it'll be another 8am wake up as the air becomes fire  I meant more time in the tented stages i.e. Sophie and NB.

So was there an announcement yesterday? I swear there wasn't this many NB bands the other day but I don't see any announcement

I see Voodoo Sioux are playing on the Jaeger stage.....I remember them from seeing them on posters for a playing a dive pub every week in a grotty town in Lincolnshire about 25 years ago. I thought it may be a band with a similar name, but they all look about 60 so presumably it's the same band! I'd never actually heard their music before, but listening to it now, I'd wondering what they're doing on the line up....you could like The Rembrant's I'll Be There For You over that song in their profile.
