Cider is my safe drink. That along with water and coffee.

I know nothing about ales so descriptions like hoppy mean nothing. To paraphrase, my compadre one year got me to try an ale and asked, "What do you like?"

Me: "I dunno, Fosters is cool I guess!"
Him: "Don't swear at me! Now this one is quite hoppy, while this one is a little more toasty!"
Me: "Uh.... sure, I like toast. I mean are we talking white or brown bread? I prefer multigrain seeded batch or coconut bread, I make an awesome..."
Him: "OK just stop. The hoppyness is affected by how much hops are in it!"
Me: "That makes perfect sense! I have no idea how hops taste. So I guess, medium hops?"
Him: "OK so these ones here are nice and hoppy. Would you prefer crisp or fresh?"
Me: "I just showered so I am kinda feeling both crisp and fresh... er but if I had to choose one, er... fresh? Fresh-ish?"
Him: "Is dry OK?"
Me: "Well are we talking dry like Cabernet Sauvignon?"
Him: "A Cavvy what?"
Me: "Or are we talking dry as in more around the Negroamaro sort of area?"
Him: "Are you being racist or something?"
Me: "Er... you know what, I'll have what you're having!"

... ten minutes later...

Me: "This feels like a bear shit in my head!"

Adding my support to the criticism of last years lager choice.

Really hoping we go back in time to just 2015/16 when the product list is announced.

Old Blue Last seem to have some link up with the post gig Sophie entertainment so I would not be surprised to see their lager at the festival. Not the most exciting of brews but refreshing enough for a hot festival day.

Well seeing as Kaltenberg is one of the main sponsors then I would assume that would be the lager.

It could all be academic if the country runs out of beer.

So this is how civilization crumbles? Instead of bees dying off, what we should've been worrying about was CO2 production!

Speaking of bees, maybe they'll have to bring in more mead to compensate (and have it available on more than just the last day this time!) :eyes:
