Sabaton (20th Anniversary Show), Parkway Drive, Wizards & Demons, Powerwolf, Airbourne, Rose Tattoo, Within Temptation, Meshuggah, Krokus, Dark Funeral and Avatar announced for WOA 2019.
I'm guessing we'll get some of those, Sabaton 20th Anniversary show must be a shoe in for a headliner slot.

Sabaton, Powerwolf, Rose Tattoo and Meshuggah would all do me just fine.

Re: 2019 Bands
i'd imagine Sabaton are nailed on, would like Demons and Wizards and Within Temptation too - maybe they'd even put some melodic bands along side Within Temptation this time.
Re: 2019 Bands
Demons and Wizards are the one I have to see, but I can't see the interest being there over here if they are asking for headline sets. Always want to have Powerwolf but they don't seem to want to play Bloodstock again. Sabaton are a shoe in then.
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!
Re: 2019 Bands
Really doesn't do anything for me. The one thing that I'm dreading from this is that this announcement could lead to Within Temptation being a headliner for BOA 2019.

Sabaton were pretty much a shoe in anyway. They & Gojira play every 2 years & move up the bill every visit.

Re: 2019 Bands
Sabaton headlining, Powerwolf as either a sub or 3rd top maybe? Parkway Drive is probably happening at some point. Wizards & Demons would be very cool. Meshuggah are probably overdue a return.
Re: 2019 Bands
Looks like that confirms Sabaton as a 2019 headliner
Wonder if it will be announced at the fest?

Re: 2019 Bands
Sabaton seems like a safe bet. I'm also hoping Moonsorrow, Anaal Nathrakh, Turisas, and Helloween will be back.

Would love turisas to play. They'd be a great Thursday night headliner. Out of the Wacken bands I love Avatar to play. They've never disappointed me live

Re: 2019 Bands
Oh god it's going to be Parkway Drive isn't it?
Add in Dark Funeral and Avatar and that'll probably be what BOA will take from that lot.
I'd doubt it, unless they're the token power band for next year

Re: 2019 Bands
Think next years headliners will be Parkway Drive, Sabaton and Slayer.
PWD are an inevitability at some point. I'd have picked Sabaton to headline 2019 even without Wacken announcing them so I'd be astonished if they aren't going to be at BS next summer. And Hellfest announcing Slayer means I think they'll do one more festival circuit next year before bowing out and I imagine BS will be included in that.

I think Parkway Drive would be the biggest mistake in the history of the festival.
Just don't think there is the fanbase that go to Bloodstock

Re: 2019 Bands
Slayer I could see holding out for a bigger pay day from Download if the UK tour does sell out, unless BS are prepared to pay big as with Priest. Always the chance that Slayer's UK tour doesn't do as well as they thought, I wasn't convinced with some of the venues when the tour was announced and I'm still not that they will sell out everywhere in the UK.
If most of those predictions came about I'd be skipping next year, just not my cup of tea or I've seen them recently and not got a burning desire to see them again within 12 months time.
