Plus we know the final headliner is someone who hasn't played before which rules Megadeth out. I expect it's something to do with their upcoming album.

That would be my preferred option, but surely we won't be lucky enough to get 3 melodic headliners?[/quote]
Not big enough in the UK. Maybe big enough to be special guest, perhaps. I don't have much interest in them though.

Could happily never see Megadeth again. Headliners need to put on a show and despite being basically album perfect most of the time it's just boring to watch

It's not Megadeth, they've played before. It's definitely not Powerwolf, they're not even remotely big enough to headline Bloodstock.

Naturally it was a wind up but glad you all played along :)

Cant see Powerwolf either, sadly not big enough and a similarity in sound to another headliner, great band tho!

So never played before....
big enough to headline...
Not booked anywhere else or playing another UK festival...
ZZ Top it is then, unless they can get Quo that is ;)

I could see Powerwolf announced on Tuesday, i`m also expecting Clutch as SG for Friday, Rose Tattoo and Cthtonic in that announcement, rolling the dice out on this one!

I'd be very happy with Megadeth, even - they're a metal band. I'd be happy with Delain - it's not four gym queens in vests singing about veganism or whatever. I'd be happy with Behemoth / Immortal / whatever - it's black metal KISS, but it's METAL.

Just to be sure, you're not suggesting that Delain should headline are you? :? Certainly not big enough to headline BOA...

Just stating bands I'd rather over some emo group. I'd happily take some random tiny euro band & a smaller crowd over Parkway Drive. I appreciate that the organisers wouldn't, but them I'm not running a festival

If it's going to be something 'alternative' then I hope it's either Korn or Deftones. I can't think who this final headliner will be. Hopefuly something good and heavy, the bill needs it, perhaps Behemoth but they've played before. I just can't think of anyone that fits at the moment

Should there be an announcement this morning I’m hoping for any of Saxon, Airbourne, Nile and Unleash The Archers. Don’t think the headliner will be announced for another couple of weeks at least, although I still can’t see it being anyone other than Parkway Drive. Unless that strange Tenacious D murmur has any truth...

I would be happy with any of the following being announced:

Clutch, Saxon, Devin Townsend, Sacred Reich, Overkill, Primal Fear

I suspect I will be totally wrong (as proved by my Bloodstock bingo performances every year) :B
