Just been listening to Dust Bolt oddly enough.
Line up page has Skeletal remains down on Saturday but sure I read it was for Friday

I've only heard of Aborted out of those and they're very mediocre. Will check out the others tonight.

Aborted wouldn't be my first choice for the genre, but good to see some death metal on the main stage at last. Out of the others I've only listened to Dust Bolt who are definitely on the watch list, so really happy with that. Will have to listen to the rest before making judgement

Aborted for the main stage.

Skeletal Remains, The Lazys, 3 Headed Snake, Boss Keloid, Dust Bolt and Red Method for the Sophie.

Boss Keloid are superb, Aborted are alright, the rest I'll need to listen to.

Aborted and Dust Bolt are great bookings, solid live bands and are must watch for me. Skeletal Remains sound amazing so will be going to see them. Not listened to the others.

Saturday is slowly becoming somewhat passable, might actually have to stay somewhat sober

Skeletal Remains, The Lazys, 3 Hesded Snake, Dust Bolt and Red Method look good too, Aborted and Boss Keloid are not really to my taste but a decent announcement to an already quality line up for me personally

Skeletal Remains are more of a thrash/death hybrid. They're not bad.
The Lazys are fairly typical AC/DC style rock, they're not bad.
3 Headed Snake are old school metal, remind me a little of bands like Savatage.
Boss Keloid are definitely more proggy than sludgy in my book.
Dust Bolt are thrash metal.
Red Method are awful nu metal gubbins.
Aborted are as you say death metal.

Overall that's not a bad selection, Red Method are the only one I'd actively avoid,and whilst Aborted are pretty dull they're not that bad. If there is nothing better on at the same time I'd happily check out all the others.

Boss Keloid aren't really sludge these days, that's more their earlier releases. The latest album is sort of a mix of prog, stoner and doom, with elements of psych and sludge.

Nothing for me there. I've got enough to see anyway though.

A bunch of bands that I've mostly not heard of. And still no official announcement on the forum. Big surprise. But from having given them a listen, 3 Headed Snake sound very promising. The other Sophie bands all sound reasonable enough, even if they don't really stand out much.

Boss Keloid are excellent. The rest do very little for me or I haven't heard of them. Pretty much guarantees my decision to give Saturday a miss and drive up for Friday and Sunday
