Guys, don't believe everything you read on Wikipedia.

This is actually the eleventh Bloodstock.

So the t-shirt designs actually look pretty good this year. Will probably pick up an excalibur design at the fest. As for the bands (and poets) in this latest announcement:

Eyes of the Raven
Sophie Sparham
Daybreaker
Victus
The Hope Burden
Pravitas
Marw
Widows
Tomorrow is Lost
Saurr
Goat Monsoon
Reaper X
Sethiest
Golden Core
Fallen Temples
Damim

Very happy to see Widows got through, fantastic band. Also happy to see Damim booked, although that's stretching the "New Blood" name just a wee bit.

2001,2,3,4.....2020

14x Outdoor: 05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18

There's been 20 iterations of the festival already, so 2019 is the 21st iteration overall and the 18th anniversary.

This came up back in May - see my above post. :)

If an event first happens in 2001, then 2002 is its 1st anniversary. So, 2019 would actually be the 18th anniversary.

And you were wrong then as well. :rolleyes:

Besides you are still missing the Christmas Festival.

Admittedly from Wiki, but it has the clearest and most concisely written definition I've seen so far:

"An anniversary is the date on which an event took place or an institution was founded in a previous year, and may also refer to the commemoration or celebration of that event. For example, the first event is the initial occurrence or, if planned, the inaugural of the event. One year later would be the first anniversary of that event."

Therefore...

2001 -> Inaugural Date/Event
2002 -> 1st anniversary
2003 -> 2nd
2004 -> 3rd
2005 -> 4th
2006 -> 5th
2007 -> 6th
2008 -> 7th
2009 -> 8th
2010 -> 9th
2011 -> 10th
2012 -> 11th
2013 -> 12th
2014 -> 13th
2015 -> 14th
2016 -> 15th
2017 -> 16th
2018 -> 17th
2019 -> 18th anniversary.

The new blood bands are looking pretty good this year, I shall be in there a lot. I wonder when next year's announcement will be made at the festival

Technically, there were two Xmas Parties, although the second one was cancelled after Morgana Lefay pulled out at the last minute for medical reasons.

Yeah, arguing about it now feels a bit like jumping the gun a bit.

Just been catching up with tonights Facebook live. All three headliners for next year are locked in but none of them will be announced at this year's festival. They can start announcing them from September so I'm assuming there have been some contractual changes. However, there are also a few other main stage bands booked for next year that they will be announcing over the weekend and, according to Vicky, they're "heavy as hell." 8)
