Download sent me an online questionnaire 7th August to vote who the next headliners should be, so I'm not sure if Download even know who they want for all 3 days yet. The choice was bands like Metallica, Slipknot, Korn etc.

I don't remember Slayer being in that list, but then I think they would be a special guest or something similar instead anyway.

I would expect Slayer having a headline set on the 2nd stage at Download next year.

There's been a few posts from Bloodstock recently asking who people would like as next years headliners so looks like nothing is set in stone yet!

Like they'd even read them  . It's just marketing to get people talking.

Let me guess... the responses have been Rammstein, Ghost, Slayer, Lamb of God and Machine Head?

Slayer, Lamb of God, Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage, Sabaton and Dimmu Borgir seemed like the most popular ones when I skimmed over it.

I also saw a lot of requests for Manowar and a sprinkling for Helloween.

Isn't it usual for fests to book acts like headliners over a year in advance? In which case it's pointless asking since you'd assume they'd already have them locked in by now.

Jungle Rot just confirmed for Stonehenge in Holland 2 weeks earlier so hopefully that means a long overdue slot at bloodstock.

That's what I thought, hence I'm getting the impression that they haven't got any headliners locked in for next year yet, although I imagine they have got bands booked for other slots already.

I’m thinking Slayer are likely with farewell tour, rather have Someone else though they’ve been regular at bloodstock. Sabaton and Behemoth are quite likely as other headliners. I’d be really happy with Helloween, Devin Townsend, lamb of god and Accept as other possibilities

Why do people seem to think Behemoth are going to be knocked back up to headliners? They weren't last time, and they haven't done anything lately to see them move up have they?
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!

Why are Accept being touted as headliners too? They were, what, third or fourth down in 2013 and they haven't gotten any bigger since then.

They subbed King Diamond in 2013.

I agree that they aren't headliner size, though I would love to have them back - cracking live band.

Sure they subbed (along with Gojira and Anthrax), but I think people are mulling over the idea because they aren't that many extreme bands that could headline. They do have a new album out next month too, so will be touring that as well.
