Re: Next Announcement
It`s not Manowar they've just announced two exclusive UK dates at Birmingham in April next year, not cheap either

Why not Deicide, Full of Hell, Immolation and Dying Fetus then?

I didn't think anyone would fall for that....

Someone needs to do a tribute band for these non live bands. (expect burzum because he's a dick). A band that plays darkthrone, bathory and meathook seed songs.

I see the bad moon arising.

Re: Next Announcement
Bathory has already been done a few times.
But I would rather it be done somewhere else rather than Bloodstock. A place Quorthon probably would have hated.

Apparently Mogg is retiring put a thread on Wishlist about it, same with Krokus apparently but if they were to say a goodbye to the UK I`m sure they would get more respect from the BOA crowd than Brownload
No UK shows planned for the German Big Four but suggestions are needed that might get considered
Ah right, thought I'd missed a rumor or something

Within Temptation opening the main stage so they can headline in Germany later in the day confirmed then. Black Wizard has been hinting at this for weeks

To be fair, helicopter / jet from Festival A to Festival B would be in the highest tradition of the genre. Get Brucey to take them on the Maiden plane, since they're not headlining at Donnington for a change.

Agreed. It looks like I will indeed never see Slayer again. I can live with that. Bloodstock Bingo is screwed up though.

Apparently Sharon said something about a big festival in England at the end of one of their recent shows, so I assume that means Download and there's plenty space left on the line-up. Either that or they'll be at Reading Festival.

Re: Next Announcement
Download's announcement would seem to rule out LoG (thankfully), Opeth and unfortunately Anthrax.

Carcass too

So apart from Within Temptation and Obituary who has recently finishing touring and isn't doing DL who could feasibly do BOA?

Re: Next Announcement
Candlemass and Powerwolf both seem to be playing Euro fests around the right time of year to be in consideration. I haven't yet checked to see if they are free on the BOA dates specifically, but I'd be hugely happy with either / both.
As for the headliner... who knows who it's going to end up being...
