As much as I love Blue Oyster Cult, I feel pretty certain that we're looking at a heavier band for the Saturday headliner. I think at the minute it's a toss up between Parkway Drive and Behemoth, with Parkway being more likely as they've already bumped Sabaton up to headliner this year. Watch it be someone nobody has suggested now

Good lord I hope not. What a snooze-fest that would be.

Five Finger death punch?

I think there is always a small possibility of Korn too

MSG are not that heavy, but they are metal, just like Scorpions.

I love BOC but with Sabaton and Scorpions as headliners combined with them probably not being big enough with a Bloodstock crowd I can't see that happening. Saturday Sophie headline might work but its not something I'd expect.

Be very surprised if UFO were booked for any slot.

Given Vicky has said the headline is a band that hasn't played before and that not only have Behemoth play they've already headlined we can rule them out.

Surely Parkway Drive are nowhere near big enough to headline? Hasn't Vicky said on numerous occasions she would love Korn to play?

Metallum doesn't think things like Michael Schenker Group are metal. Fuckwits. Never go on their silly opinions.

MSG isn't on there because someone probably hasn't created it properly. Like Wikipedia someone has to do the work.

Judging by who is currently on the festival circuit for next year and hasn't played BOA before I can only really see it being the following

Dream Theatre - possibly but doubtful. Playing Download also
Mass Hysteria are high up at Hellfest but have no idea who they are so highly doubtful
Whitesnake- playing download and can't see them and Scorps both playing
Within Temptation - aren't they already somewhere else that weekend?
Architects- possibly but again unlikely and I hope not tbh
Sisters of Mercy - ?. Would enjoy but cant see it
Cult of Luna - Dont imagine in a million years theyd headline but would love
Slash - Doubt it
Stone Temple Pilots -Also doubt it, would prefer Alice in Chains
Alice in Chains - would enjoy
Clutch - Not sure if theyre headliners but would be happy
Enter Shikari -
Disturbed - Is possible I guess. Would avoid like the plague
Ministry -Would watch
Godsmack - eurgh hope not. Don't think theyre big enough over here anyway
Dropkick Murphys - highly doubt
Parkway Drive - Seems likely
Powerwolf - Not with Sabaton playing. Are they big enough to headline here?
Airbourne- possible
Bullet - Vicky said its not them but she also said it wasnt Priest before so who knows. Hope not.

Aside from it being someone who isnt on the circuit I dont see who else it could be

Alice in Chains, as the most metal grunge band, would be good.

For 50 or 60 quid you can see them at their own arena shows in June which I'd think rules them out.

Airbourne are at Wacken which wouldn't be the worst announcement in the World for me
However so are Rose Tattoo and that has much larger pull (Not as headliners but for the band)
