Exciting stuff! There's a possibility it could just be a Sophie headliner though. If it's main stage I'm guessing Sabaton or perhaps even Ghost? I'd imagine it might be too soon for Ghost and a lot of people would complain although I'd love it

The timing to me does suggest Ghost, I think (which, whilst a recent repeat, I'd personally really enjoy). Still crossing my fingers for Sabaton though.

I would be enormously surprised if Ghost headline again after two years. Are any other festivals announcing soon?

Ghost have just announced a European tour though which has a 1 week gap where they will presumably play some UK shows:

Feb. 03 - FRA, Lyon Tony Garnier
Feb. 05 - HOL, Amsterdam AFAS Live
Feb. 06 - BEL, Antwerp Lotto
Feb. 07 - FRA, Paris Zenith
Feb. 14 - GER, Stuttgart Schleyerhalle
Feb. 15 - GER, Bochum Ruhrkongress
Feb. 17 - GER, Hannover Swiss Life Hall
Feb. 18 - GER, Hamburg Sporthalle
Feb. 20 - SWE, Gothenburg Scandinavium
Feb. 21 - NOR, Oslo Spektrum
Feb. 23 - SWE, Stockholm Ericsson Globe

I would be surprised if they got announced for Bloodstock as this will surely affect tickets sale for a Feb tour that's not even properly announced yet?

I'd be happy with ghost but I do think it's too soon. Think they're a good shout for 2020 unless their popularity increases even more by then. Think they're more likely for download this year.

Was also thinking, Mastodon are reportedly releasing another album next year, do we think they'd get another shot at headlining?

Hope not - I like the band but they were a dreadful headline act

Good lord please no. That was awful last time. I lasted less than 30mins before I had to leave it was that dull.

Please not Trivium again, they were rank rotten last time.

But Parkway Drive still have a UK tour to complete, a few months from now. The amount of Parkway Drive merchandise available and posters for their new album at this year's Bloodstock did worry me though.
