It's Saturday. So probably just Parkway announcement on some shitty radio show.

Please no Sick of it All as Sophie headliner. I want something good to end on Saturday.

I just want the PD announcement done and over with so we can get on with seeing who else will be announced.

Same. Unfortunately I have a feeling that Parkway will get an announcement to themselves and then we'll have to wait another couple of weeks for anything else

Manowar on an as-yet unannounced fourth stage ? Doing a special "all the good bits from our discography" set ?

That would be a cracking way of ending a day. I bloody hope this happens.

More likely a mid afternoon slot on the mainstage. Just above Evil Scarecrow or Thy Art Is Murder would be my guess.

The organisers seem to have a thing about average Hardcore bands from the late 80s/90s.

Panic probably over.

They're playing Knotfest in France on the 20th June which is a few days after Download.

Behemoth and At the Gates out, along with Municipal Waste, Ne Obliviscaris and a few others.

Didn't realize the 4th stage was the heavy stage now. If it's the same small tent from when I last went in '15, that's insane to have ATG and Carcass headline it. Could mean they pick off a few decent Sophie bands in the likes of Alcest etc

It'll be well packed seeing as all the bands are playing the same day Friday 14th June....

One possible positive to Vicky's 2.2.19 cryptic post.

That is the date of Candlemass (oh yes please).

Its normally pretty good fun in there late evening and offers a good alternative to the main stage with a small venue feel. Shortish sets but it gives the old men chance to catch their breath.

Is it still on the slope with the metal pole down the front?
The smallish size is a bonus really, it's just the short sets that ruin it, all well and good that I could end my day seeing ATG, bit of an anti-climax when they get lumped with a 30 min set though.

It's also the last date of Parkway Drive's UK tour so I wouldn't get to excited

Some of those bands in that smaller tent will be quite something.

We'll finally have the announcement out the way and can finally look forward to other (even possibly) good bands being announced?

Hoping for Firewind, Evil Invaders and Twilight Force on the Sophie stage.
