Since I've been a continually grumpy sod in the band announcements thread -

What are you looking forwards to in the market ?

Personally I really enjoyed the Mercian Storm tent & German / Dutch guy with the three-CDs-for-a-tenner boxes.

The Mercian Storm tent had the added bonus of watching new black metal kids eyeball the Graveland / GBK t-shirts nervously....

I really like the place that sold the cheap cigars though I forget its name. I only ever smoke at festivals so this one is a must for me. That and the Yorkshire pudding food place. That was banging at 18'

I always go to the stall opposite VIP arena entrance that has lots of imported vinyl and CDs (Dutch or German staff?).

I always find stuff I want and it is pretty reasonable. Got some good Primal Fear and Europe rarities over the last few years.

Foodwise, the Texas Smoker is a must for the chicken wings I still miss Deli Kate food though

I always like hunting for records and cds, the fest seems to get a good selection of record tents. The pie shop was pretty good too!

Bought a Tyketto live album from that guy - paid on old-fashioned carbon paper print from my credit card. Power chords rang in the car home that Monday !

I usually pop into Electric Amphetamine, they are normally along the back row near the first aid tent.

Notice a few people mentioning patches - we also stock medical patches - black with white writing - we have all the blood groups and also patches to alert people to medical conditions etc inc diabetes, epilepsy, allergic to penicillin/morphine etc, learning disabilities, pacemaker fitted, nut allergy etc. We also have a medical alert patch so you can have that sewn on the outside of your jacket with the allergy patch etc on the inside to be more discreet.

Music merch we stock clothing/wallets/tankards/shot glasses/album artwork etc for Slayer, Motorhead, Metallica, 5FDP, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Chimera, AC/DC.
