Is there somewhere in the campsite that sells boiling water? Usually we'd bring a stove to boil water for pot noodles etc but can't be bothered with the faff this year so is there somewhere where we can get boiling water?

You might be able to get some from one of the Tea shops. I've done it in the past, But this might be dependent on the mood of the person serving that day.

Big tent and even bigger crate-friendly bag secured, the only question remaining is how long 160+ miles will take on a coach including an unknown number of stops.

Anyone like to guess?

Well my 360+ mile trip would take about six hours without stops, so I assume yours will take... less. :P

This is all assuming BGC send out the actual tickets soon. :eyes:

I'm pretty sure they allow you in any time after the first opening. I've had people turn up during the night who've got in after getting a wristband from the security at the front entrance.

Day tickets will be different.

Maybe get in touch with them to confirm?

I am on the coach from Edinburgh so expecting anything between 6 and 7 hours depending on traffic. Coach from Glasgow normally takes approx 6.5 hours so basing it on that.

Hi, has anyone travelled from Burton On Trent station to Catton Hall before / recommend whether to catch a taxi or bus and cost?

The official bus seem to go from Lichfield but that’s further away from me.

Thanks!

The official travel info suggests the below. Might be worth giving one of these taxi firms a call and see if they will be waiting at the station on the Thursday (Or book one as you are getting close).

In my experience, there have always been other bloodstockers travelling who are looking to share the price of a cab.

TAXIS
We strongly recommend to use these 2 Taxi firms below to and from the festival site as they are our preferred Taxi operators and have agreed preferred rates for Bloodstock patrons. These rates are per taxi, not per person.

NEW STREET TAXIS - 01283 535353
5 TEN TAXIS - 01283 510510

FESTIVAL SITE to
Burton £12 - £15
Lichfield £20

I have no idea but it may well be the same, in which case it's worth asking what Kaltenberg is like as I've never seen/tried it?
