Looking at lineups of fests happening this weekend, if we're getting a decent sized replacement I think we could get either Carcass, Mayhem or Testament. All 3 are playing European festivals this weekend, none of whom playing on the Sunday. Saxon would be a good suggestion but I think they're nailed on for next year instead

Yawn. Ah well, I suppose I can't fault them for replacing a black metal band with another black metal band but still, can't help feeling short-changed

Batushka have been brought in to replace them, Queensryche bumped to SG slot, coincidentally Batushka are having a bit of Geoff Tate situation atm. Basically the guitar player and the lead singer both released an album this year under the original name, the first of which was really highly regarded, while the second was not. I don't believe that the guitar player has a live band so I assume this is the lead singer's band.

EDIT: Just confirmed this is the Lead Singer's band

That works out pretty well for me. Managed to catch a glimpse of Batushka at Damnation last year and thought they sounded pretty decent, so I'm happy with that as a replacement. And previously I was going to have to miss Damim for Dimmu, but I'm more than happy to split the Queensryche set in half and watch all of Damim.
